How long is the Gears of War E-Day campaign?
Read on if you're wondering how long it'll take you to complete the Gears of War E-Day campaign
Whether you're thinking about checking off the campaign before tackling Horde Siege or you want a break from the multiplayer mode, you're here to answer the question of the Gears of War E-Day campaign length.
Based on a few playthroughs, we've got the approximate answer below, and while it's longer than any other Gears campaign so far, it's far from a long game, meaning you'll have plenty of time to complete it once or more and get into Horde Siege, too.
What's the Gears of War E-Day campaign length?
Based on a few playthroughs, the approximate total playtime for the Gears of War E-Day campaign is:
- Story Campaign: 11-13 hours.
- Standard Playthrough (Story + major side quests): 13-15 hours.
- 100% Completion: 15+ hours.
As you can see, even with finding all collectibles and completing side quests, you'll be able to complete Gears of War E-Day in less than 20 hours, making it a very reasonably sized game. Previous Gears of War campaigns usually last under 10 hours, with Gears 5 - the longest before E-Day - tipping the scales slightly over that amount. This makes E-Day the longest Gears game by far, but it never feels too long thanks to an engaging and moving story from start to end.
Even if you're not a completionist, I certainly recommend looking around for Hardcases, which is made much easier by using the clever Tac-Com mechanic, as these contain Gears of War E-Day mods for your weapons and armor. You'll also be able to get mods from completing side quests, too, so keep an eye out for yellow icons, indicating a nearby side quest.
You could also speed things up a bit by bringing in a friend to help you through the Gears of War E-Day co-op campaign.
