Daredevil: Born Again season 3 set photos reveal bold new look for Kingpin

The tailored suits are gone and, with it, Kingpin's place at the head of the food chain in New York City.

As many might have guessed – particularly from actor Vincent D'Onofrio's previous comments – Wilson Fisk will be hitting a new low in Daredevil: Born Again season 3.

As new set photos from filming prove, Fisk is looking altogether worse for wear with a long coat, beanie, and thick white beard. That's worlds away from Kingpin's usual sartorial standards. In the background, as you can see below, a painful reminder of his fate – as former assistant Sheila Rivera mounts a campaign for mayor.

So, what gives? Already in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, we have seen Fisk lose his wife Vanessa and what remains of his crumbling temper. With the gloves off, it appears Kingpin may be on a collision course with walking the streets and no longer being above it all.

"I guess I kind of knew, inevitably, that it would end the way it does in the second season. But I didn't imagine how, particularly," D'Onofrio said in a previous interview with Take a Look, which raised eyebrows across the fandom and, now, has seemingly manifested in these recent leaks.

"It's very different to see what happens to him at the end of the second season. It's a very different feel. We pick up from what [those] events have done to him in the third season. You get to meet him and what he's become after that."

It doesn't seem to be getting much better for Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, either. A photo from Luke Cage actor Mike Colter (seemingly returning for the third season himself) appears to show Daredevil in an orange prison jumpsuit and, like Kingpin, also rocking a beard. The only way is up – and to the barbers – from here, right?
