It seems we finally have an answer to whether the full Defenders team is reuniting in the MCU as part of Daredevil: Born Again season 3. Well, at least three of them, as Luke Cage actor Mike Colter posted and then quickly deleted a behind-the-scenes photo from the currently in production third season of Born Again showing him alongside Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page.
Fortunately, a social media user who goes by the name Levi managed to preserve the photo, which you can see below. It shows all three characters on a prison set, with Matt Murdock in an orange jumpsuit. That seems like a pretty big hint at where Daredevil: Born Again season 2 may be heading.

Ever since it was revealed that Jessica Jones is returning as part of Daredevil: Born Again season 2, fans have been wondering if and when the rest of the Defenders will return. Colter's out-of-pocket post seems to confirm what was already rumored thanks to set photos showing Colter and Iron Fist actor Finn Jones on the set of Daredevil: Born Again season 3 that were leaked not long ago.
"Look, I mean, here's the thing: I have been talking to Marvel, and Jessica's back, and there's a lot of story left to tell," Colter previously stated, throwing his hat in the ring for a big return. "And I just think that it'd be a shame for me not to pop back up."
I have to say, I agree. Colter's performance as Luke Cage was one of the bright spots of the original Netflix shows, so he'll be a welcome presence in Daredevil: Season 3.
