First Avengers: Infinity War set photo has Josh Brolin getting ready to become Thanos

We're still several months away from the cinematic debut of Avengers: Infinity War, but production is set to begin in November. The film will be directed by the Russo Brothers - who also called the shots on Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, arguably the best two films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date - and they've posted the first set photo (captioned 'Rehearsal') from Infinity War on their Facebook page.

Check it out below...

The photo shows Josh Brolin - who will be reprising his role as Thanos in a major way - in a purple mo-cap suit, with the actor presumably working out how best to portray Thanos with his directors.

It's understandably simple stuff at this stage, but the Russos have been pretty interactive in the past when it comes to sharing non-revealing images and details on their Marvel projects so we'll likely get a few more set pics once filming begins in earnest.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Infinity War is due to arrive in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018 before opening in US theatres on May 4th, 2018.
