Earlier this week a rumour that Angela Lansbury would be making an appearance in Game of Thrones' upcoming season made the rounds, but it looks like the Murder, She Wrote star isn't headed to Westeros after all. According to Lansbury's representatives (via Entertainment Weekly), the actress won't be starring on HBO's flagship show in any capacity.
Lansbury would've been a great addition to the show, so this news is a bit disappointing. Nonetheless there is still plenty to speculate about when it comes to Game of Thrones - not least of which is what Jim Broadbent's "significant" role might be - and they'll be plenty of time to ponder theories while we wait for the show to return next year.
Season 7 of Game of Thrones will debut in summer 2017.
