For the third time in a week we’ve received a new set of trailers for Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Not only was there yesterday’s story-heavy video, last Friday we also saw some volcanic hot spots that Link explores. Today's set of videos gave us a ton of info on the third dungeon for Skyward Sword and the area surrounding dungeon in these trailers for the Lanayru Desert and its Mining Facility.

The sand covered Lanayru Desert is home of the Gorons in Skyward Sword, and it also houses a variation on the classic Hook Shot called the Claw Shots. The Claw Shot is a fresh angle on the series standard, as they allow Link to grapple between different grapple points instead of just from standing on the ground. Though the Claws can get you around, it seems like the best way to traverse the desert is that old gaming standard, the mine cart level. Will we need to update our list for this level?

The Mining Facility looks to be the proper dungeon of the area, with new enemies including that scorpion at the end that sure appears to be a boss. The owner of that giant stinger is named Moldera, and we’re sure those shiny things under his claws have nothing to do with defeating him. NOTHING. Anyway, the Mining dungeon is also home to the Gust Jar, which you can see in the above video as Link uses it to clear sand out of rooms and doorways.

And just so you know, later Link returns to Lanayru Desert later on to sail around on a sand ship which we hope plays like a loving homage Wind Waker. The game comes out in the US 11/20 and on the 18th in the UK. We’ll have a review soon enough.
