Street Fighter live-action series announced by director of SF: Legacy

The creator of the incredibly popular Street Fight fan film "Street Fighter: Legacy" announced today at San Diego Comic Con that he has partnered with Capcom to create alive-action seriesto follow up on the original short film.

The series will be called Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist after the new film company's title "Assassin's Fist Limited." It will apparently be focused on the early, formative years of Ryu and Ken as they learn more about what they've signed up for with studying the Ansatsuken martial art.

The series will first start being distributed in 2013, but there's no word on how long the episodes will be, or how many will be produced. You can check out the original outrageously popular short film (nearing 4 million views) below. If you haven't seen it yet, it's well worth a watch. The effects are high-quality and it will only take three minutes of your time.
