Fortnite Device Uplinks feature in every stage of the Rebuilding quests, acting as the trigger to access the second phase of your mission in either Imagined Order or the Seven territory. These small blue discs project a hologram when you get close to them, providing the gateway to your progress through these Fortnite tasks. The first group of them appear around Condo Canyon, Coney Crossroads, and Command Cavern, but expand further across the island as you work your way through. If you're unclear how to start things off, we've got all of the Fortnite Device Uplink locations plus details of how to complete every Rebuilding quest.

How to use Fortnite Device Uplink for Rebuilding Quests

Fortnite Device Uplink

To use a Fortnite Device Uplink, you simply need to approach one of the blue discs embedded in the ground and walk through the hologram projected above it, with no specific interaction required. This will then trigger the second part of each Rebuilding quest in turn, which we'll expand on below.

  1. Establish Device Uplink near Condo Canyon, Coney Crossroads, or Command Cavern
  2. Retrieve IO envelopes with top-secret plans
  3. Establish Device Uplink near Sanctuary, Seven Outpost II, or Synapse Station
  4. Destroy Seven computers and machinery to collect dropped Data Chips
  5. Establish Device Uplink near Camp Cuddle, Chonker's Speedway, or The Daily Bugle
  6. Find and destroy a cloaked IO Build Jammer

  • Coney Crossroads
  • 4) By the roadside to the north, level with the checkpoint
  • 5) Among the trees to the northeast of the gas station
  • 6) By the roadside to the south, beyond the checkpoint

  • Condo Canyon
  • 7) By the roadside to the north, next to a Welcome to Condo Canyon billboard
  • 8) To the northeast of the corner house on a dusty hill
  • 9) By the roadside to the south, next to another billboard

To retrieve IO envelopes with top-secret plans, follow your minimap to the icons marked with exclamation marks in any of the IO-controlled POIs. You may need to head up one of the ziplines to an IO Airship above for this, or search around the base camp areas at ground level.

Fortnite Device Uplink locations near Sanctuary, Seven Outpost II, and Synapse Station

How to find and destroy a cloaked IO Build Jammer

Fortnite Cloaked IO Building Jammer

You'll find a cloaked IO Build Jammer in lots of locations around the island, but to reveal it you'll need to look for a little white satellite dish icon on the map. When you approach it, the IO Build Jammer will appear as you get close, then you can smash it. They will still keep popping up on your map even after you beat this quest, so don't worry if you continue to see them.

If you're struggling to find any cloaked IO Build Jammers, the map below isn't exhaustive but reveals all the locations we've discovered so far:
