It usually pays to wait. The Black Friday 2025 discounting has effectively started in Australia, with major retailers like JB Hi-Fi and now Amazon triggering their big November sales events well in advance of the official November 28 date. I highlighted some of the PS5 bargains from JB Hi-Fi yesterday, but now that Amazon has come on board, it's looking like, uh, bad news for anyone who bought Battlefield 6 at launch.

Why? Because as recently as last week, EA's new military shooter cost AU$109. Now, only weeks after the blockbuster launched, Amazon is selling the PS5 version for AU$59. It's an extraordinary price for a newly released game, and one I'd leap on ahead of Christmas.

The price on Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is similarly impressive: Amazon is currently selling it for AU$60, down from its AU$109.95 RRP. That makes it a pretty obvious Christmas present for anyone you know with a PS5.

I've listed what I think are the five best PS5-related deals from Amazon's Black Friday sale below. Of course, that's only the start: for an exhaustive list of the best PS5 deals, not just from Amazon but from all Aussie retailers, check out our dedicated Black Friday PS5 hub. Or for a platform agnostic guide to gaming deals, look no further.

Battlefield 6: was AU$109.95 now AU$59.95 at Amazon

In what is undeniably the strongest PS5 game deal yet for Black Friday 2025, this brand-new blockbuster Battlefield instalment gets a massive post-launch discount. Widely considered a return to form, Battlefield 6 reviewed very well when it launched last month. Now, just weeks later, many major retailers are offering a huge discount on the RRP of AU$109.95. Whether you're keen to jump in on the multiplayer action, or are just curious about the campaign, this is a significant discount for a game that only released recently.

Borderlands 4: was AU$119.95 now AU$69 at Amazon

Similar to Battlefield 6, you could be forgiven for not expecting huge discounts on Borderlands 4 this close to its launch: Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford even tweeted earlier this year that it wouldn't happen. Despite some reservations our reviewer gave it four stars, writing that it's "undeniably an excellent looter shooter, but one that requires a bit of tunnel vision to full enjoy".

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds: was AU$109.95 now AU$60 at Amazon

While Mario's new kart racer got all the attention in 2025, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds was a quiet achiever: it reviewed very well, with our own Justin Towell writing that it "has the mileage to be a karting favorite". If you've got family visiting for the forthcoming holiday period, this would also make a great way to entertain.

SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro wireless gaming headset : was AU$735 now AU$451.32 at Amazon

According to GamesRadar's headset experts, these cans are the best you can get for PS5. Naturally, you may cringe at the price of this thing, because even on sale its a lot. But if you're ready for a more premium sonic experience, you'd be well advised to try these out. They boast both 2.4GHz wireless capability and Bluetooth, as well as active noise cancellation and a ClearCast Gen 2 microphone.

Corsair Void v2: was AU$189 now AU$134 at Amazon

As I'm sure you can appreciate straight away, this Corsair Void v2 wireless headset is significantly cheaper than the SteelSeries model listed above. But what do they have in common? Both factor in to our list of the best PS5 headsets, with this wireless Corsair winning out our "best budget" category. Affordable though they are, they have superb audio, Dolby Atmos support, 70 hour battery life and both 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth compatibility.
