Depending on how much Chocobo gliding practice you’ve had, making it to the second platform will either be very easy or mildly challenging

Your second stop is the northeast part of the map

The third point is by the ruins of the crashed ship. Just be sure to search behind it

Make your way to the entrance of Rocky Crag for the last data collection point

Who you get it from: The Research Leader in the Research Camp. He’s standing on a ramp overlooking the landscape.

When you can obtain the quest: Any time after completing Main Quest 3-2 and once the Chocobo is fully healed.

Rewards for completion: 1600 gil, Aerial Guard’s Badge x1, Max HP +80, Strength +4, Magic +6

Instructions for completion: The Research Leader would like you to take some readings of the nearby ruins. He’ll give you a Data Recorder, which you’ll need to take to four stops: 1) One of the two skinny platforms near the start of this quest, 2) by the ruins at the northeast point of the map, 3) at the crash site at the northernmost point of the map, 4) on an elevated chunk of land near the entrance of Rocky Crag, directly west of the Research Camp. Turn in these results to the Research Leader to conclude this quest.
