The long-awaited Helldivers 2 Warhammer 40K Warbond is finally on the horizon, letting Super Earth's finest bring Kasrkin-inspired wargear to bear. You'll be able to deploy into the grim darkness of Helldivers 2 missions with a Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle and iconic Bolt Pistol. And heavier firepower in the form of superhot melta weaponry is also up for grabs and looks rather powerful from what has been shown so far. With that, here's everything you need to know about the upcoming Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40K Legendary Warbond, including when it comes out and what's in it.
Helldivers 2 Warhammer 40K Warbond release date
The Warhammer 40K Warbond is due to arrive in the Superstore on August 12. The exact release time isn't known but expect it to get added at around 12pm UTC.
Since this Warhammer 40K crossover is a Legendary Warbond like the Helldivers 2 Halo Warbond, it will cost 1,500 Helldivers 2 Super Credits instead of the usual 1,000 – you've still got time to farm enough! And remember that because this is a Legendary Warbond, you can't use Helldivers 2 Warbond Tokens to unlock it instead.
All Helldivers 2 Warhammer 40K Warbond gear
The Warhammer Warbond will contain 18 individual items, including three loadout weapons, two armor sets, and several cosmetics. Currently, not a whole lot is known about the specific functions of each weapon, but I can make some educated guesses based on the Warbond trailer and the tabletop counterparts of the Astra Militarum weapons you'll be able to unlock in-game with your Helldivers 2 Medals thanks to this Warbond.
Here are all the items that will be in the Helldivers 2 Warhammer 40K Warbond:
- Weapons:
- R/40-K Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle: This is a sniper-style configuration of the Hot-Shot Lasgun, so expect this weapon to be a punchy semi-automatic energy weapon with great range.
- P/40-K Bolt Pistol: This isn't quite the full-fat bolt pistol that Space Marines use, but it should still be quite powerful, hopefully with decent armor penetration but likely hefty recoil.
- G/40-K Meltamine: A powerful thermal explosive that looks like it'll serve as a throwable anti-tank mine.
- Stratagems:
- 40-K Meltagun: Fires a short-range thermal beam with significant armor penetration power.
- Armor:
- TG-8 Sharpshooter armor and helmet: Medium armor with the True Grit passive, which improves handling for all weapons and increases the reload speed of Helldivers 2 Support Weapons by 30%. This armor set resembles the standard uniform of Kasrkin troopers with a green camouflage pattern.
- TG-122 Demo-Trooper armor and helmet: Heavy armor also with the True Grit passive. This armor set is made to look like the mine-lobbing Kasrkin demo-trooper in an urban camo scheme.
- Cosmetics:
- Castellan's Green pattern for all five vehicle types (Hellpods, Shuttle, Exosuits, FRVs, and the Bastion), which appears to be inspired by the dark green camo pattern with off-white and red bars seen on Cadian Rogal Dorn tanks.
