The Fifteen Men on a Dead Man's Chest quest in Windrose is proving an excellent, if tricky mission for players to complete, as while it serves as great early source of loot, it's hard to work out where the treasure's location is and where to dig. After all, the game certainly requires a lot of grinding which includes taking on as many side missions as possible, so side quests like this one are borderline essential to progression... And what pirate doesn't like looking for treasure chests? With that in mind, I'll explain how to complete the The Fifteen Men on a Dead Man's Chest mission, where you have to locate a treasure chest in order to get your hands on some special loot.

How to complete the Fifteen men on a Dead Man’s chest mission

Once you have located and picked up the treasure map to start the Fifteen men on a Dead Man’s chest mission, you can open up the character curios to actually have a look at the map and associated information.

It will prompt you to locate some treasure, which can be found on the same island. If you track the mission, the location you’re looking for will be highlighted on your map with a Blue marker. Head over to this marker.

Once you’ve found the general location, look out for three corpses on the ground. You can then dig between them all to find the treasure. In order to dig you will need a shovel, if you don’t have one already you can craft one at a workbench using three copper and 10 wood.

When finding the chest, you will be met with a prompt to open it. When selecting this prompt the dead corpses on the ground will reanimate. Ensure you have a weapon in order to fight off these undead sailors. After doing so, you’ll finally be able to open the treasure chest, claim the loot and then complete the mission, granting you some precious early experience points.

If you’re struggling to find the Fifteen men on a Dead Man’s chest mission location, then start off by taking yourself back to the original island you spawn on. You’ll come across an undiscovered location at the south of the Island, here you can open a chest and find a map which will jumpstart the mission for you.

Once you have the mission in your journal be sure to set it to track so you can see the progress and map markers without having to constantly flick back and forth between your journal.
