Not sure what to play next? Ghost of Yotei just dropped to a record-low and there's more PS5 game deals where it came from
Amazon has unleashed some surprising record low PS5 game deals
Lately, I've been drifting from one game to the next without much enthusiasm, but some surprising PS5 game deals have finally piqued my interest today. Most notably, I've just spotted Ghost of Yotei for $49.99 at Amazon, when it normally sits at its full $69.99 MSRP day in and day out.
The PS5 game did see some minor price cuts shortly after it slashed its way on the console late last year. But it was typically $10 off at most, then you'd find, and not double that of today's limited edition deal. As I was contemplating adding this to my basket, I noticed Amazon was bursting at the seams with surprising (yet fully appreciative) discounts, which include a record low $39.99 (Amazon) price for Death Stranding 2 and even $30 off (Amazon) Ghost of Yotei's predecessor, Ghost of Tsushima. To help rejuvenate your PS5 backlog, I've rounded up these deals, along with a few more down below.
Amazon has been pretty general with its Ghost of Yotei deals in the past, as they knocked off $5-10 shortly after release last year. But now the game has dropped to just $49.99, the lowest ever price I've spotted it in the US, and a perfect pick up if you've just finished Ghost of Tsushima.

Talking of Ghost of Tsushima, the Director's Cut on PS5 is also marked down on Amazon today. This version, which includes the DLC and multiplayer expansion, is $30 off and just 99 cents away from its lowest ever price. There's no right or wrong game to play first, but this is a great pick-up if you want to test the Sucker Punch waters.

It's a good day for spotting 2025 releases at new record low prices, as Death Stranding 2 is down to just $39.99 at Amazon today. You'll need to add it to your online basket to see its newly discounted price, but after you do you'll see that lovely $30 off saving for yourself.
UK: £36 at Amazon

It's a similar situation for Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The new discounted price won't appear until you add it to your Amazon basket, but once you do, you'll spot that lovely new $29 price for yourself. If you're a Spidey fan, it doesn't get much better than this and it's a great game to grab on the lead up to Insomniac Games' upcoming Marvel's Wolverine.

Out of all today's deals, this is the PS5 game that's currently on my radar. I was obsessed with the original Snake Eater growing up, and now the Metal Solid Delta Snake Eater remake is down to $33.55 at Amazon, just less than $10 away from its lowest ever price. While it's not a record low, this game is less than a year old, so it's still a worthwhile saving to be had.
UK: £48.50 at Amazon (Deluxe Edition)

If you love PlayStation and love platformers, it doesn't get better than this. The delightful Astro Bot is down to just $39, a return to its lowest ever price so far. It's another one of those 'you need to add it to your basket to see the price for yourself' dealios, but once you do, you'll see that lovely $20.99 saving for yourself.
UK: £43.94 at Amazon

The Silent Hill 2 Remake has also returned to a record low price at Amazon today, even though this month's Prime Day savings are still weeks away. The game has dropped in price considerably since its 2024 release, but this $10 price cut is still a deal worth jumping on if you love horror or grew up with the original like I did.
UK: £42.39 at Amazon

Before you go...
Amazon just announced that Prime Day will be kicking off from June 23 to June 26, which is closer than you think. Rather than picking up the deals above, you could alternatively wait to spend your hard-earned cash on the best Prime Day PS5 deals instead. Just be warned that if you wait, there's no telling that the limited-time Ghost of Yotei deal will make a comeback so soon.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
