EOFY 2025 PS5 deals - grab a PS5 Slim with disc drive for AU$629 and a PS5 Pro for AU$949, and big discounts on blockbuster gems
If you've waited for big drops on some of the biggest recent games, now's the time to jump.

EOFY 2025 sales are pretty much here, which means one bad thing and one good thing. The bad thing is that it's almost time to do your tax, which is annoying. The good thing is that, fingers crossed, you should get a tax return, which should with any luck coincide with a sale on something you want.
Will EOFY 2025 be a good time to buy a new PS5? Given the recent price hike, which saw the PS5 disc model rise from AU$799.95 to AU$829.95, and the digital model from AU$679.95 to AU$749.95, we're doubting the discounts will be record breaking. That said, as of June 12 some significant discounts on consoles have dropped. It seemed like it wasn't going to happen, but Sony came through after all.
Below we're gathering some of the best pre-EOFY deals, though realistically, EOFY deals last for basically the entirety of May, June and July nowadays. We'll keep this updated daily!

PS5 EOFY deals
Save AU$204.95
Now that a PS5 costs well over AU$800 in Australia, discounts tend to be rarer than ever. In other words, this AU$200 discount on a disc model is worth snapping up immediately if you're in the market for a brand new console. Once this deal is over, it'll be a long cold wait until the next sales event.
After the digital model? That's available for AU$549, down from AU$679.95.
Save AU$150.95
It was starting to look like EOFY wouldn't bring any good PS5 console deals, but this one is a stunner: eBay (via The Gamesmen) is offering a decent chunk off this premium PS5 Pro, which as our review reports, is well worth it for hardcore folk who care about pixel count and silky smooth locked framerates. "The PS5 Pro only suits its price tag in niche circumstances, but it does deliver on its promise to improve both graphics and framerates." Use the coupon code PS5PRO to get this price.

Nightreign has proven divisive, just as an online-centric FromSoft game was always going to be, but it's definitely worth a spin if you happen to have two friends who are also interested (but for the time being, maybe don't bother if you don't). A small AU$10 discount might compel you to try your luck on what looks like a mixed experiment.
Save AU$15.95
A decent discount on this newly released Hazelight affair, which will definitely appeal to anyone who loved the cooperative shenanigans of It Takes Two. As with that older game, you will need a friend to play this - it's not a solo affair - but if you do, it's sizing up to be the best narrative-action game of 2025.
Save AU$35.95
Despite releasing for PS4, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is a must-play for PS5 (and isn't that the case for most PS5 games?). This remaster makes a pretty game look even prettier, with more pixels, smoother framerates, and a new roguelike survival mode called No Return. At this price, you should definitely try this even if you're not into zombies or narrative-heavy games.
Save AU$40.95
A brilliant price for this sprawling modern classic, which stands as probably the only essential RPG for PS5 at this point. This edition doesn't include the brilliant Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, but it still offers hundreds of hours of exploration and tense combat. It's the one PS5 game everyone should own.
Save AU$70.95
Well over half-price off this tentpole PS5 action game. If you love your ultraviolent, Norse mythology-infused action games infused with a prestige touch of daddy issues, this is Sony's best stab at that microgenre.
Save AU$80.95 off RRP
A brilliant discount on this very recently released BioWare RPG. It's been pretty easy to get this cheap in 2025, presumably because it hasn't sold as many units as publisher EA might have hoped, but this is still a good price for the Deluxe Edition if you prefer physical media and didn't grab it free on PS Plus earlier this year. According to our review it's "an approachable, expansive action-oriented RPG," and a "true end to whatever the franchise was before".
Save AU$25.95
Not really a "deal" per se, but instead an example of Amazon trouncing the competition with a big pre-order discount on what will no doubt prove the PS5 game of the year. If you're sure you want to play this sequel to Ghost of Tsushima and want to secure a copy before its October 2 release date, this is the cheapest way to pre-order at present.
Save AU$69.95
Some people were down on Star Wars Outlaws at launch, but notwithstanding the fact that it was actually pretty good even then, a number of dramatic updates since have made it even better. Which is ironic, of course, because now it's a fraction of the price it was at launch. A lesson in the merits of waiting.
PS5 EOFY accessory deals
Save AU$90.95
Sony's brilliant yet exorbitantly priced premium DualSense is a fine piece of kit, and this AU$90 discount makes it ever more tempting. It has replaceable analog sticks, four back "paddle" buttons, changeable stick caps and a bunch of other lavish features that you'll regret not having once you've held one of these in hand.
Save AU$114
After its RRP dropped down to AU$649.95 last year (from AU$850) PSVR 2 has definitely been... cheaper, but more affordable? Probably not. This discount may make it more viable, especially if you plan to use it across both PS5 and PC. If you've already got a PS5 in the house, this is probably the best way to game in VR.
Save AU$80.95
You don't hear much about these wireless buds made especially by Sony for PS5, but they exist, and our colleagues over at Techradar thought they were good. They're almost perfect for the PlayStation Portal, and can double as your commuting 'phones if you fancy the PlayStation branding. They feature multi-device connectivity, integrated mics (for both gaming and phone convos) and AI-enhanced "noise rejection".
Save AU$60
While it was possible to nab these during Black Friday for AU$210, this is still a nice discount on a great set of cans. With these you're getting 300 hours of battery life, DTS Headphone:X Spatial Audio, and the Cloud series' now iconic tough-as-guts aluminum frame
Save AU$80
The Corsair HS80 Max Wireless Gaming Headset offers low-latency 2.4Ghz wireless audio and Bluetooth connectivity, along with high-fidelity 24bit/96kHz sound and support for Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio. Now discounted by 46% in Steel Grey and White.
When will EOFY sales start in 2025?
While it would make sense for EOFY sales to start at either the end or the beginning of the financial year, deals are not at the mercy of facts. EOFY sales have already started in some quarters, so expect it to be a long sales period running from early May through to the end of July. Yep, it's a long one.
The EOFY sales period generally just runs for as long as retailers want it to run. For that reason, it's probably a good idea to do some extra digging if you're in the market for any big ticket item. Or better still, if its PS5-related, keep an eye on this page.
Are EOFY sales good for PS5-related products?
While consoles may not go super cheap this year due to the recent price hike and tariffs, we're expecting some decent discounts on games and peripherals. In other words, if you're after a recent blockbuster game cheap, or need a new headset or controller, it's probably worth keeping an eye on this page.
