Is there a The Boys season 5 post-credits scene? That's the all-important question now that the final season of The Boys has come to a close after seven years. Showrunner Eric Kripke confirmed way before season 5 hit screens that it would be the last installment, so there is nothing else in that particular storyline to tease. But we know that the superhero satire likes to rip the likes of Marvel and DC, so one last post-credits scene wouldn't be too out of the ordinary.
There is also a string of The Boys spin-offs on the way, including the 2027 title Vought Rising, and the highly anticipated Boys Mexico, which may finally move forward now that the main show has concluded. So, does The Boys season 5 finale set up either of those projects?
Does The Boys season 5 finale have a post-credits scene?
No, there is no The Boys season 5 post-credits scene as such. After Homelander is stripped of his powers and defeated, we are treated to a little epilogue showing what each of the Boys are up to. Hughie is running a technology shop whilst a pregnant Annie continues to fight crime in the streets, Mother's Milk remarries the mother of his child, and Kimiko takes a trip to France just like she and her late love Frenchie spoke about. However, when the credits roll, that is the end of the series. But just before The Boys comes to a close, we see a montage of behind-the-scenes pictures from throughout the series, paying tribute to the crew who worked on the show right from the very first season.
And that's it. We did think the finale would set up Vought Rising with a cheeky post-credits scene with what happened to Soldier Boy after Homelander stuffed him back in his cryochamber in episode 7. However, if you were lucky enough to see The Boys finale in cinemas, you would have seen the first piece of footage from Vought Rising, which offers the first look at Aya Cash's run as Stormfront, aka Clara Vought.
