Call of Duty: Black Ops 2: Is this the first image from the game?

Hot-on-the-heels of last week's exciting rumours that Activision is just about ready to reveal its latest Call of Duty comes confirmation from Activision via its official Call of Duty site that - yes - gamers should brace for a 'Call of Duty World Reveal' on 1 May.

The reveal, which is scheduled to take place during the basketball playoffs airing on TNT, will almost certainly be for a sequel to the 2010 multi-million selling first-person shooter Black Ops. And this image - which was de-classified on the Call of Duty site this morning - could be the very first image from the game:

Admittedly it's pretty fuzzy and just looks like a bunch of static. But someone with good eyes over at NeoGaf suggested it could be a 'flyable drone'. And that seems like a decent call. Look at the image again but this time with some arrows pointing at stuff:

Above: Can you see it?

We spent some additional time staring pretty intensely into the static in the hope of some other image coming into focus. We thought we saw Tupac for a moment but it probably wasn't. We'll continue staring into the static for the rest of the day and if we see anything of interest we'll let you know.

In the countdown to the reveal, a new image (or other piece of media) is scheduled to be de-classified every day on the Call of Duty site. So stay tuned to GamesRadar for more in-depth analysis of fuzzy, static images.

In the meantime, have a go staring into the static and if you see anything interesting please let us know in the comments.

I don't have the energy to really hate anything properly. Most things I think are OK or inoffensively average. I do love quite a lot of stuff as well, though.
