PlayStation All-Star Battle Royale adds Nathan Drake and BioShock's Big Daddy to roster, joins the Vita

New details on game revealed at Sony's E3 2012 press conference

When it was time for Sony to bring PlayStation Battle Royale to the stage at E3 2012, they were quick with the news. First off the devs confirmed that the game will be available on the PS Vita as well and they can be played together across the platforms. But the biggest news came at the end, as two new fighters were revealed: Nathan Drake and BioShock’s Big Daddy!

We ultimately expected to see Drake appear in the game, as he’s one of Sony’s most high profile hero of the last few years. However, we were very happily surprised to see the first of what we hope are many third party guest characters, BioShock’s Big Daddy. Both characters will be playable at E3, so we can’t wait to get our hands on it. The game comes out this holiday.

The Big Daddy is an interesting choice, and it shows that they're certainly branching out when it comes to third party characters, so I hope to see more unexpected characters revealed soon.

Eh, it looks okay. But I find it odd that Son'y All Star Battle Royal includes an originally Xbox exclusive character.

Eer... didn't Bioshock start out as a 360 exclusive? IIRC, the first got ported to PS3 when 2 went multiplatform. Well in this case I ope they get as many fan demands in as possible. Because at this point, I don't think anyone's particularly impressed.

Wow. I didn't realize this was going to be such a blatant rip off of Smash Brothers. I couldn't even tell if it was SB or All-Stars in the video half the time. I'm a little disappointed they didn't go for something more original. Any word if it is the normal Big Daddy or Subject Delta?

We have had footage for around a month, and you JUST realized it's a blatant smash bros ripoff? Also it is just a normal big daddy.

And how long have you been playing the game?
