XBLA Shocktober sale has savings on Castlevania, Costume Quest, and other scary DLC

Looks like the week before Halloween is becoming a week for scary sales, with multiple price cuts at retailers happening, including a worthwhile Amazon sale. Now Microsoft is joining in on the chilling price drops with its Shocktober promotion, which this week includes multiple price cuts on some of the best spooky content on Xbox Live. Games like Dead Rising and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are just some of this week’s deals.

You can get in the Halloween spirit with GR favorite Costume Quest now 600 points ($7.50) down from 1200, and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (a title many consider the best PSOne game ever) is also half price, now 400 points ($5.00). Additionally, while not the best price, $22.49 will net you Alan Wake, and you can score the original Dead Rising for the reasonable-ish $14.99. Speaking of the zombie killer, the 360-exclusive Dead Rising 2 add-ons Case Zero and Case West are much better deals at 200 ($2.50) and 400 points respectively. And if you’re out for some real scares, there’s also a Kinect anniversary sale celebrating its first year of existence with price breaks on DLC for Carnival Games and Kinect Sports.
