Hoping to buy Warhammer City of Ash? Don't worry, I've got you covered. I've set my Clan Eshin informants skittering across the internet to bring me the latest offers, and I've actually been able to track down some stock for this hard-to-find box set! While the situation is tricky in the US, you can currently get the Spearhead release in the UK at Wayland Games.
That's not the only result I've turned up over the past few days, though. As someone who spends a lot of time tracking down Warhammer stock when I'm not reporting on or reviewing it, I've got a few tricks up my sleeve... and I've shared those below. If you want to buy Warhammer City of Ash, this is the best place to be.
It's certainly worth the fuss. As noted in our full Warhammer: Spearhead - City of Ash coverage, it's a lot of fun for established players but also "an easy way into the game" for newcomers with two cracking armies. I guess that's why so many folks are clamoring to buy City of Ash. Speaking of which, shall we dive in?
Where to buy Warhammer City of Ash in the US
Warhammer City of Ash stock is thin on the ground right now with the exception of eBay (where you've got to contend with resellers potentially inflating the price or slapping you with exorbitant shipping fees), but don't lose hope. I'd keep a close eye on Miniature Market as it's known for getting stock back in after running out, or Rogue Traders for a potential second run of pre-orders.
Miniature Market | Check stock
Although it's out of stock right now, I'd highly recommend keeping an eye on Miniature Market. It's a reliable indie retailer that often restocks items when they've seemingly vanished, so you may get lucky. If that happens, move fast - you won't have long before it's all snapped up.

Rogue Traders | Check stock
There's a chance this retailer will get more City of Ash units back in before long, as it notes that "A SECOND ROUND OF THESE WAS ORDERERD , WE SOLD OUT OF OUR INITIAL ALLOCATION." That means there's a chance of securing the box set, so watch Rogue Traders very closely.

eBay | Check stock
I'm loathe to suggest it because the prices are often inflated here thanks to unscrupulous resellers, but I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't flag that Warhammer City of Ash stock is available via eBay. Just bear in mind that you're at the mercy of third parties here.

Amazon | Check stock
While it's not there yet, City of Ash stock will almost certainly appear on Amazon at some point (that's because Warhammer gear is usually late to this retailer, and drops without warning). In other words, keep checking in occasionally just in case. It won't be hugely discounted when it does land, of course, if at all, but hey - I'll take availability over a price cut at this point.

Where to buy Warhammer City of Ash in the UK
We've got a live one! If you're based in the UK, you can buy Warhammer City of Ash at Wayland Games or Firestorm Games at the time of writing (though that may have since changed, so reader beware). Otherwise, your best bet is to hit eBay or wait for it to show up at Amazon.
✅ £134 £107.20 at Wayland Games
It's back! Somehow, City of Ash returned to Wayland Games. Hey, I'm not gonna look a gift-Skaven in the mouth. If you want to grab the box set, move quickly!

✅ £134 £107.20 at Element Games
I think you may be able to buy Warhammer City of Ash from Element Games again, at least as I write this; it's got a new "add to cart option" which wasn't there before. Go, go, go!

✅ £134 £117.92 at Firestorm Games
Heads up everyone, it seems as though Firestorm has stock for City of Ash (at the time of writing, I can add it to cart). I don't know how long this will last, so don't hesitate if you want a copy for yourself.

✅ £134 at Warhammer
Well, will you look at that? If you want to go straight to the source and are happy paying full price, Warhammer's official store is allowing you to buy City of Ash again. That's unexpected, but very welcome, news.

eBay | Check stock
I hate to point at eBay for items like this because they're almost always overpriced due to cheeky third party resellers, but I wouldn't be doing due diligence if I didn't mention it. At the time of writing, the listings aren't too outrageous either (though that may have changed).

Amazon | Check stock
The biggest retailer around doesn't seem to have stock for Warhammer City of Ash yet, but it will eventually... though the price may be higher than RRP. It's likely to drop at a random time as well if previous box sets are anything to go by, so check regularly.

Zatu Games | Check stock
You can't buy City of Ash at Zatu right now, but there's a chance it could return (stranger things have happened.) Visit this listing every now and then just in case.

Warhammer City of Ash FAQ
Curious to know what all the fuss is about? Warhammer City of Ash is the first Spearhead-branded boxed set to include two full armies alongside this season's book, terrain, and board. You don't get dice, sure, but you have everything else you need to play.
As for the two forces going against one another, it's the Cities of Sigmar and the Skaven assassins from Clan Eshin.
When does City of Ash come out?
City of Ash (or, to give it its full legal name, "Warhammer Age of Sigmar Spearhead: City of Ash") is due to launch on May 2, 2026.
Why is it so hard to buy Warhammer City of Ash?
If you're wondering why it's so difficult to get your hands on the City of Ash box set, I have a suspicion it comes down to two factors. One: demand. This is a highly-anticipated release with some very cool armies included alongside everything you need to kickstart a season of Spearhead gaming, so fans are clamoring for it. Two: supply. While I obviously can't say for sure, I get the impression that supply of Warhammer boxed sets like this doesn't always meet the demand - there literally isn't enough to go around, or at least that's how it's seemed in the past. With that in mind, speed is of the essence. If you see City of Ash in stock, grab it immediately! It may not be there the next time you check.
Is City of Ash worth buying?
As noted in our four-and-a-half star City of Ash review, this is a fantastic boxed set for anyone wanting to get into the Spearhead game type or established fans. While it's by no means perfect (it doesn't come with dice and some minis are tricky to build, namely the Skaven), those are small niggles in the face of a fantastic product overall. The new setting is evocative with unique, atmospheric terrain, and both armies work brilliantly on the tabletop. I'm a particular fan of the Clan Eshin assassins, who are glass cannons that hit incredibly hard.

I've been writing about games in one form or another since 2012, but these days you'll find me managing GamesRadar+'s tabletop gaming and toy coverage (I spend my time here handling everything from board game reviews to the latest Lego news). I've also been obsessed with Warhammer since the 1990s, and love nothing more than running tabletop RPGs like D&D as a Dungeon Master.
