Where to get the Mortal Shell 2 Mushroom Village Key
The Mortal Shell 2 Mushroom Village Key is required to unlock a vast building in the region, home to a dungeon and valuable loot
The Mortal Shell 2 Mushroom Village key is required to unlock the large wooden doors in the Hunter's area of the region. Not only is there a locked door, but you'll find a locked cage here, too, the key for which is found entirely separately to the main Mushroom Village key.
Once you get inside, you'll find the Shrine of Trials, and there's a special item waiting for you if you can pass them all, so it's definitely worth finding the Mushroom Village Key in Mortal Shell 2. Here's where to look and how to get it.
Where to find the Mortal Shell 2 Mushroom Village key
The Mushroom Village key is located near the large bonfire surrounded by witches. To find it, head right from the Mushroom Village Beacon, then right again over the rope bridge.
To actually get the key, first defeat all the witches (just to make things easier), then head to the small arch to the right of where you entered the area. Walk through the arch from the other side and the area changes, revealing a large statue that wasn't visible before. She is holding the key.
That's it! What's really cool is that you can decide whether you want the statue to remain by walking back through the arch or not. This mind-boggling mechanic can also be found in some of the nearby dungeons, too, so at least now you know how it works.
And, speaking of dungeons, using the Mushroom Village key grants you access to the Shrine of Trials, where you can find a set of new weapons, but unfortunately no Mortal Shell 2 Tarstones.
At this point, you'll have unlocked the Flayed Harbinger beta reward, but make sure you know how much of your Mortal Shell 2 beta progress carries forward with it.

After studying Music and Lifestyle journalism and writing a column for a stylish lifestyle magazine in her hometown of Brighton, Danielle finally found her feet writing about videogames for WePC in 2021. She then honed her guides writing skills at PCGamesN between 2022 and 2026, when she took those skills to GamesRadar as a Guides Writer. Danielle's guides are a safe space - she definitely got stuck before you did, which is why she's perfect for the job. When she's not replaying the Silent Hill games or a more up-to-date single-player horror game, you'll find her fighting for her life in Dead by Daylight, tending to a garden in Stardew Valley, or doing both in Minecraft.
