Digital-only GTA 6 Ultimate Edition screenshot literally says "buy more useless s***"
Definitely one way to market your game
The fact that physical copies of GTA 6 won't actually exist, because there won't be discs in the box, means Rockstar has reached the zenith of selling plastic tat. You're just paying for a regular case and a print out of the cover art! The publisher's genuinely having the last laugh here, because there's a sticker in one of the available images associated with the upcoming blockbuster embracing the bare naked truth at the heart of unregulated capitalism.
As posted on Twitter by GTA 6 Countdown, an official picture of Grand Theft Auto 6, in the art-style of the cover, contains the sentence, "Buy more useless shit." It's included in a bar code sticker that's stuck on the counter of a clothes shop, with a young woman standing in front of it.
You're not likely to spot it right away, but since actual materials related to the game are few and far between, people have been poring over every tiny detail to understand more about Rockstar's next epic. Thus, someone eventually caught this little titbit.
Ironically, Rockstar included a sticker in one of the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition screenshots that says “buy more useless shit”The Ultimate Edition is $100 and mostly offers items that don’t affect gameplay. pic.twitter.com/AaILUX0U3EJuly 5, 2026
It's probably worth noting it comes from the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition as well. That version costs $100 and includes some digital goodies, but nothing that impacts gameplay any, and certainly no real life collectibles. I am suddenly filled with nostalgia for the days of Big Daddy statues and the like, standard in any limited edition release of a game.
That was then, and this is now, and Rockstar would like to encourage you to invest in its non-tangible goods as heavily as possible. Of course, financial decisions are yours to make, and if the Ultimate Edition will bring value to your life, go right ahead. But if you just want the base game, the standard version will do just fine.
I do hope we're getting the third trailer soon. People were analyzing Jason's muscles the other day. Players are getting a little stir crazy, and I don't blame them. It's a new month, and only four months until GTA 6 arrives. Come on Rockstar, give us something to really look at.
