Phoo Action Commissioned as a Series
The BBC has commissioned Phoo Action for a full six-part series. The bizarre show, based on the work of Jamie Hewlitt, began as a pilot which was only shown this week for the first time. "We really believe in the originality and boldness of Phoo Action," a BBC spokesman is reported as saying on Digital Spy . "It's fantastic news that the work of Jamie Hewlett and the rest of the crew will be back on the channel."

Glenister in Dracula Update
The Gene Genie is set to stat in a modern update of Dracula in a six part series for ITV, reports Digital Spy . Philip Glenister will star in the as-yet-untitled show as an American vampire-, demon- and zombie-hunter who passes on his lifestyle to his teenage godson (Christian Cooke of Echo Beach), the last descendant of the Van Helsing line. The Office’s Mackenzie Crook will play a villainous vampire.

Planet Rock
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is joining Jessica Biel and Seann William Scott, providing his vocal talents for the New Line CG-animated sci-fi film Planet 51, according to The Hollywood Reporter . The script is by Joe Stillman (Shrek).
