Fortnite Battle Pass Challenges guide: How to complete the weekly challenges

We're now in Week 8 of Fortnite Season 6, which saw the launch of a new Fortnite Starter Pack for a great deal on V-Bucks, and the news that re-deployable gliders have already been removed from most Fortnite game modes. As usual, there's also a fresh set of Weekly Challenges to tackle, featuring Free Challenges for all players to earn some Battle Stars, alongside four additional Battle Pass Challenges just for Battle Pass holders to unlock even more Battle Stars and the weekly reward item. Challenges from previous weeks remain active, so if you're still looking to consume some Fortnite Apples then our Fortnite Battle Pass Week 7 Challenges section has got you covered.

Most of the challenges are pretty straightforward, but a few require further information to figure out what you have to do. That's where this guide comes in to play, as we've cracked the trickier challenges and done the leg work to solve them so you don't have you. For Week 8 this involves dancing with a fish trophy at different Named Locations, getting a score of 3 on different Clay Pigeon Shooters, getting Trick Points in a vehicle, and visiting different Named Locations in a single match. Read on, and you'll be racking up those extra Battle Stars in no time at all.

Dance with a fish trophy at different Named Location

You may not have paid much attention to them previously, but a lot of the buildings around the island have a Fortnite Fish Trophy mounted on the wall, which looks like the image above. To complete this challenge you need to dance in front of the fish trophy in seven different named locations - you can find an aquatic award inside buildings in these seventeen locations:

  • Dusty Depot - Dusty Diner Toilet and Office
  • Fatal Fields - Main House
  • Greasy Grove - Camping Shop
  • Haunted Hills - Castle
  • Junk Junction - Main Building
  • Lazy Links - Golf Shop
  • Lonely Lodge - Main Building
  • Lucky Landing - Southeast Diner
  • Paradise Palms - Car Dealer Office
  • Pleasant Park - Central Picnic Area
  • Retail Row - Fishing Shop
  • Risky Reels - Projector Building
  • Salty Springs - Blue House Basement
  • Shifty Shafts - East Shack
  • Snobby Shores - 2nd North House Garage or South House Basement
  • Tilted Towers - Central Broken Building
  • Wailing Woods - North Large Cabin

Get a score of 3 on different Clay Pigeon Shooters

The Fortnite Clay Pigeons are back, and handily for those who completed this challenge in a previous season they're pretty much in exactly the same places as last time. To get started, interact with the clay pigeon launcher then get ready to blast the discs when they launch - a shotgun is a good weapon for this but try to get as close to them as possible before firing. Hit three clay pigeons in a row to reach your target, and do this at three of the following six locations to clear the challenge and move on:

  • West of Pleasant Park, near the old isolated house
  • Northeast of Leaky Lake
  • West of Risky Reels, by the river
  • North of Lonely Lodge
  • South of Paradise Palms, near the edge of the island by the river
  • Southwest of Shifty Shafts, near the giant chair

Get Trick Points in a vehicle

Trick Points can be obtained by launching a vehicle into the air, then twisting, turning, or flipping, before landing back on your wheels again to bank the points - if you wipe out, the trick won't count and you'll lose your points. Grab yourself one of the Fortnite Quadcrashers, Fortnite ATKs, or Fortnite Shopping Carts, then head to the nearest ramp (or cliff) and fling yourself off it.

Visit different Named Locations in a single match

For this challenge, you need to visit four different named locations around the Fortnite map in the same match. This will involve covering plenty of ground, though obviously you can reduce this by choosing four locations that are close together. If you're having difficulty, try sneaking around and using the storm for cover if necessary. You could also grab a vehicle such as an ATK or Quadcrasher to quickly race from area to area and hope that any opponents won't have time to hit you. For reference (or to tick them off as you go), these are all of the named locations:

  • Dusty Divot
  • Fatal Fields
  • Flush Factory
  • Greasy Grove
  • Haunted Hills
  • Junk Junction
  • Lazy Links
  • Leaky Lake
  • Lonely Lodge
  • Lucky Landing
  • Paradise Palms
  • Pleasant Park
  • Retail Row
  • Risky Reels
  • Salty Springs
  • Shifty Shafts
  • Snobby Shores
  • Tilted Towers
  • Tomato Temple
  • Wailing Woods
