Spidey Summer 2026 is so on as Spider-Man: Brand New Day star Zendaya has confirmed that she has seen the upcoming Marvel movie, and feels positive about it.
"I've seen a little something," said Zendaya when asked if she had seen the new Spider-Man movie on Jimmy Kimmel Live. When Kimmel pressed the star for more, Zendaya added, "A good amount of something. I feel very good about it."
Zendaya will return as Peter Parker's once-girlfriend Michelle Jones-Watson, aka MJ, in Spider-Man 4, which is set four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, after MJ had her memory wiped, Tom Holland's hero is rumoured to have another love interest this time around. But Zendaya kept pretty tight-lipped on all details surrounding the movie, and when Kimmel asked how many villains Holland's Spider-Man will have to face in the fourth installment, she responded, "I can't say that."
Marvel is keeping its cards pretty close to its chest in terms of plot details, but recently shared a rather cryptic synopsis, which reads, "Things are going well for our anonymous hero until an unusual trail of crimes pulls him into a web of mystery larger than he’s ever faced before… Spider-Man not only needs to be at the top of his physical and mental game, but he must also be prepared to face the repercussions of his past!"
Zendaya and Holland's Spider-Man journey began over a decade ago when they started filming Spider-Man: Homecoming, and not long after that, the pair entered into a real-life relationship. "It's such a huge part of our story, obviously, and we grew up making those films, and it's such a privilege to be able to do them," said Zendaya. "I know Tom [Holland] cares so much about the role and doing it justice."
Alongside Zendaya and Holland, Spider-Man: Brand New Day also stars Sadie Sink in a mysterious role, as well as Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Jacob Batalon as Ned, and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters on July 26. For more, check out our ranking of the best Spider-Man movies, and stay up to date on all the upcoming Marvel movies and shows that are in the works.
