Black Friday 4K monitor deals are currently hibernating, but they will return in full force this November. If you're not itching to grab a UHD display right now, you could instead hold off and potentially snag some big panel price cuts during the sales. As the year unfolds, we'll have a better idea of models that will be up for grabs, but I've already got a pretty good idea of what to expect in 2025.

The best gaming monitor options won't be immune from Black Friday, so you won't have to just stick with cheap models. I've spotted screens at various price points plummet to record lows in recent years, and that includes the latest OLED displays that normally cost well over $1,000. Anything is possible during the sale, and holding off does come with benefits.

Below, you'll find plenty of pointers and buying advice that will help you grab the best Black Friday 4K monitor deals when the time comes. There should be a stream of offers in the months ahead and newcomers entering the scene, so I'll be adjusting my advice based on what happens throughout the year.

FAQ

When will the Black Friday 4K monitor deals start?

As tradition dictates, Black Friday itself is going to be on November 28, 2025 -the Friday after Thanksgiving as normal. However, retailers don't just save their deals for this day - big retailers like Best Buy and Newegg have already begun to officially roll out their sales and we're only mid-way through the month.

Where are the best Black Friday 4K monitor deals?

The usual suspects are going to be the ones slashing prices and getting involved in the Black Friday 4K monitor deals, so here's a quick list of the best places to bookmark, visit, and check out.

USA:
Amazon:
Deep, and frequent, deals on Samsung, Asus, BenQ, and models
Dell: Huge discounts on a variety of Dell and Alienware models
Best Buy: Steady, if minor, deals on productivity and budget gaming units
Newegg: Few deals available right now, but consistent low prices
Walmart: Early discounts on a wide range of screens

UK:
Amazon: Great deals on budget 4K gaming monitors from major brands
Currys: Minor deals available on Samsung UHD productivity monitors
Argos: Save up to 1/3 on select screens at Argos
Very: Early deals live already
eBuyer: Good savings to be made on LG, BenQ, and Samsung panels
Overclockers: Most of the current deals are on refurbished gaming units

Black Friday 4K monitor deals: what can we expect?

We ended up with a pretty wide selection of 4K monitors available during last year's Black Friday event. In fact, there were arguably more screens than any previous year, which might be down to the increasing demand for UHD panels. Options ranged from the AOC U2790VQ that was down from $249.99 to $209.99, and larger discounts that brought the mighty Samsung Odyssey Ark down to just $1,799.99 from around $2,700.

One of the cheapest 4K monitors of the bunch by far was the LG 27UK500-B, as it dropped to under $200 from its usual going rate of $350. This is exactly what we want to see more of, as it will open up UHD visuals to players of all budgets. Now that 4K 240Hz is more common, plenty of 144Hz models ended up dropping below the $600 mark, with the LG UltraGear 27GR93U, Samsung Odyssey G7, and Corsair Xeneon leading the charge as prime examples.

As for the monitor's we think punch above the rest, you'll want to keep a close eye on panels like the LG UltraGear 32GS95UE-B and Samsung Odyssey OLED G8. Both of these screens boast 240Hz abilities, and this month will be a good opportunity for them to make a proper drop. At the same time, panels like the BenQ Mobiuz E3210U may end up dropping under $600 again, providing a premium 144Hz punch for much less than new arrivals.

The least you'll pay for a 4K monitor this Black Friday is around $150, with options by Koorui previously falling to this level. Amazon discount brands normally take the lead with display discounts, but it's always worth doing your homework to make sure quality isn't an issue. I've been investigating these makes throughout 2024 to get a feel for what they can provide, and I am impressed with what some have to offer. Your best bet is to check back in with us if you're curious about a specific budget model, as I'll be including more info here and via separate reviews.

Is it worth waiting for Black Friday to buy a monitor?

Chances are you'll find gaming monitors at their lowest price during Black Friday. That said, retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart are known to drop prices throughout the year, so if you see a great offer before the big event, it's well worth considering.

How much should I pay for a 4K monitor?

Generally speaking, 4K monitor prices will vary based on specs. It's possible to pick up a UHD screen for well under $300 during Black Friday, but you'll have to make do with a 60Hz refresh rate and basic features. On the flip side, premium panels can set you back thousands of pounds, so we'd recommend striking a balance between specs and cost.

Is 4K overkill for a monitor?

4K monitors aren't necessarily overkill, but not all consoles and PCs will benefit from the tech. For example, if you're rig is rocking an older graphics card, playing at UHD resolution could reduce frame rates to unplayable levels. In addition, while 1080p consoles like the PS4 and Nintendo Switch will work just fine on a 4K screen, 1080p alternatives will better fit the brief.

Is 4K better than 1440p?

4K monitors can pack substantially more pixels (3840 x 2160) compared to 1440p (2560 x 1440), resulting in sharper visuals and an extra layer of clarity. That's not to say resolution is the only factor when it comes to display fidelity, but high resolution screens will have an edge when it comes to the number of pixels on show.

SAMSUNG 32" UJ59 Series 4K UHD | $399.99 $209 at Amazon
Save $191 - A second discount has been applied this prime monitor in quick succession, knocking the price down to what is now comfortably its lowest point, assuming you don't want to buy second hand. This is an ideal budget monitor for those that want the fast-acting refresh rates of AMD FreeSync for gaming and a monitor with high color accuracy, and now it's even easier to recommend this Black Friday. With the display now closer to the $200 mark it's even more of a great multi-purpose gaming monitor for those who have a budget to stick to.

Sceptre 32" 4K UHD Monitor | $478.99 $249.97 at Walmart
Save $229 - It's a lesser known brand, but slashing nearly half off this monitor should make it at least worth checking out for anyone in the market, as it's been brought down into the budget bracket.

LG UltraFine UHD 27" 4K UHD | $379.99 $269.99 at Amazon

GIGABYTE M28U 28" 144Hz Gaming Monitor | $599.99 $329.99 at Amazon
Save $270 - The price of this monitor has been dropping consistently throughout November but now Amazon's Black Friday deals have officially begun, it has finally reached its lowest-ever price. Its earlier discount made the already budget-friendly display one of the best monitor deals, but now it's $270 off it's also one of the best Black Friday deals we've come across.

Save $150 - If you need an extra inch, the Asus TUF 28-inch VG28UQL1A 4K gaming monitor is back at not just a new low price on Amazon, but the lowest it's been so far. At just $399, this all-rounder breathes a nice all-round IPS image quality to your PC, Xbox Series X/S, or PS5.

LG UltraGear ‎27GR93U-B 27-inch | $499.99 $399 at Amazon
Save $101 - Absolutely the kind of lowest price territory we like to see during Black Friday, and a chunk lower than last year's $450 offer. We'll be hoping to see it dip further, but if you need a solid 4K screen now, this ain't half bad.

BenQ Mobiuz EX2710U 27-inch | $649.99 $399.99 at Amazon
Save $250 - The price has been steadily going down for a while, but now it's hit a new record low. This UHD IPS display didn't dip below $600 until the spring, so it's safe to say $250 off is a solid offer.

ASUS ROG Swift 27" PG27UQR | $546.99 $419.99 at Amazon
Save $127 - The price of this ASUS monitor has been trickling down for a while, and since August this year it hasn't returned higher than the $550 mark. At its current discount of 23% off, it's not the lowest it has ever been, but the price rarely stays low for long and regularly bounces back to at least $500. If you need a smaller 4k display, this is a great Black Friday deal if you can catch it in time.

Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 43" | $999.99 $499.99 at Best Buy

This isn't the first time the display has been this cheap, however only in July did it get this low. This Best Buy price is $70 cheaper than Amazon, making it one of the best Black Friday deals we've come across.

LG 38WN95C-W 38" Curved UltraWide | $1,399.99 $879.99 at Amazon
Save $520 - It's $80 away from its lowest price so far. However, earlier this year it hovered around $1,150 for multiple months so anything under $1k is worth celebrating. With a huge $520 off already, we're not sure if it will jump any closer to its lowest-ever price this Black Friday.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 32-inch | $1,299.99 $899 at Amazon
Save $401 - This fresh model is down to its lowest-ever price at Amazon, with 31% knocked off its MSRP of $1,299.99. It first dived under $1,000 at the start of September, but now thanks to Black Friday it's the cheapest I've seen it.

Samsung Odyssey Ark 55-inch (2nd Gen) | $2,999.99 $1,799.46 at Amazon
Save $1,200 - An absolutely monstrous screen with a mammoth discount, the Ark is now more approachable with $1,200 off. This is the newest version, so while the 1st gen mode did drop lower last year, this is still a record low.

Black Friday 2024 may be coming to an end, but there's still plenty of savings to be had on displays with Cyber Monday gaming monitor deals right around the corner.
