March 6, 2026: We updated this guide as Monster Hunter Rise is included in the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for March 2026.
Knowing where to find Monster Hunter Rise Machalite Ore is essential knowledge during the early part of the game, because you're always in need of this crafting material to produce your initial weapons and armor. It's not actually that difficult to track down, but you will need a lot of it at the beginning of your adventure when you're still trying to figure everything out. To point you on the right track, here's how to get all of the Monster Hunter Rise Machalite Ore you could possibly need.
As we mentioned, this isn't the hardest thing to find, it's just something you'll need sooner than you've had time to settle in. When you eventually find your feet you'll discover that later crafting materials like Monster Hunter Rise Dragonite Ore is far harder to get.
Where to get Machalite Ore in Monster Hunter Rise
The first place you can find Machalite Ore is in the Sandy Plains. Keep an eye out for small boulders with colored ore sticking out. There are two types of ore in the Sandy Plains – white and blue – but for Machalite Ore, these don't matter. You can get Machalite Ore from either of them, but it's not 100% guaranteed. Go on an expedition to the Sandy Plains, hunting down every ore vein you can, and you'll finish with a sizeable amount of Machalite Ore.
Later, when you unlock the Flooded Forest and Lava Caverns, you can find Machalite Ore in more plentiful quantities. Machalite Ore isn't needed to progress in Monster Hunter Rise, it's just a common material in crafting - so if you want to wait until the later regions to hunt it down, you're absolutely able to.

Give me a game and I will write every "how to" I possibly can or die trying. When I'm not knee-deep in a game to write guides on, you'll find me hurtling round the track in F1, flinging balls on my phone in Pokemon Go, pretending to know what I'm doing in Football Manager, or clicking on heads in Valorant.
