Christopher Nolans next film coming in 2017

Warner has announced that Christopher Nolan’s next cinematic release will be arriving in 2017, adding an “Untitled Christopher Nolan Film” to its upcoming slate, and pencilling it in for a July 21 release date.

Such is Nolan’s standing, the studio has provided absolutely no further information, safe in the knowledge that the mention of the director’s name alone is enough to get fans excited. As such, we have no title, logline or even genre to go on, and yes, we’re still excited.

Nolan’s last film, Interstellar, raked in more than $675 million worldwide, making him one of Warner’s most bankable assets alongside the DC roster of superheroes. Could the studio be about to combine the two once more? We’d say it’s unlikely, so soon after the conclusion of Nolan’s Bat-trilogy, but never say never.
