Silent Hill: Downpour side missions guide

There are numerous side missions that can be completed throughout Silent Hill: Downpour and while they are disconnected from the events of the main story, they do offer some pluses for putting your time into them. Aside from the achievements and trophies for each, some missions will over various other rewards, such as weapons, items, and some pretty creepy and interesting stories.

There are 14 side missions all together, but unlike the rest, only “Digging up the Past” can only be done once you have completed the game. Below we have put together some videos to help you along the way with descriptions on how to finish off each one and get the most that you can out of your visit to Silent Hill.

Hey, Redeater, you can accomplish all or none of these and in any order, it's up to you. However - if you only accomplish two, I would recommend the All Points Bulletin one first, so the cars don't harass you all game long. Second, help the Homeless Man so you can maneuver the underground tunnels. If you don't unlock the tunnels, you are done will all missions whether you like it or not once you get to the boat. :-/

Hmmm. After playing it again, I found another way to/from the port district. Still playing with different paths, but it appears that even after I opened the subway tunnels, you can't use the one by the boat which is rather frustrating. So...you don't HAVE to do any of the missions if you don't want to.

Is this in order of which can be accomplished first? Also, can any of these be missed? I assume you can't do most of these after you get to the last "area" of the game.
