Gamers tend to have a tacit understanding of the concept of competition, and the bragging that comes of it. But with so many companies offering their own brand of achievements, leaderboards, and trophies, status-seeking gamers are often left in the lurch when it comes to really getting a good grandstand going. A number of services have stepped in to fill this void, and the latest is GamrRank.
At its core, GamrRank seeks to assign a status to its user’s place in the gaming community, compiling not just the time they spend playing and achievements unlocked, but also time spent talking about games and what others say about that user.
In addition to pulling data from users’ Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and Steam profiles, GamrRank has also teamed with Blizzard Entertainment and Battle.net, a move that coincides with the launch of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. It’s the first service to have teamed with Blizzard in such a way.
Want to try it out? GamrRank has partnered with GamesRadar to offer early access to the service’s beta-test. To gain access, all you have to do is click right here.
