Original Doc Brown to send his voice back... to the FUTURE!

It's been 20 years since Christopher Lloydhas touched a flux capacitor, but that hasn't discouraged developer Telltale Games from hiring the original Doc Brown to voice his digital counterpart in its upcoming Back to the Future adventure games.

Lloyd (who can also be seen in this summer's Oscar frontrunner, Piranha 3D) is set to reprise his role as the off-kilter Dr. Emmett Brown for the episodic 5-part series, due for release this winter. To further honor its source material (read: avoid rabid fan backlash), Telltale Games also announced that it will be staying true to both Doc Brown and Marty McFly's physical likenesses as well as consulting heavily with the series' original screenwriter, Bob Gale, for the game's story.

While Telltale has remained mum on plot specifics, it has said the episodes will include Hill Valley (circa 1985), the DeLorean time machine and a crop of familiar faces.

No word yet on hoverboards, but we're willing to bet that Telltale wouldn't even attempt a BttF game without hoverboards. Right? Right?!
