Heroes collide in new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice footage

We are less than a month away from the cinematic debut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and with the marketing now entering its final stretch more and more clips from the movie will inevitably be making their way online. Ben Affleck brought one such clip to the Jimmy Kimmel show last night, and the new footage reveals Superman's power and Batman's tactics. Check it out below...

While Superman clearly has the upper hand for the majority of this clip, the footage ends just after Metropolis' hero catches a projectile fired by Batman. Fans have already speculated that the projectile is some form of kryptonite, which would explain how Batman is be able to block Superman's punch as glimpsed in the final trailer.

This was a really smart clip to release; if you've watched all the previous trailers for Batman v Superman there's actually relatively little by way of new footage here, but it's still exciting to see previously fragmented snippets put together. Here's hoping Warner Bros. marketing department continues to show good judgement as we get closer to the film's release.

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne and Amy Adams, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will arrive in UK and US cinemas on March 25, 2016.
