Guillermo del Toro talks Justice League Dark

Guillermo del Toro has been talking about his Justice League Dark passion project, and is quick to refute any notion that Warner Bros has gone cold on the prospective film.

It had been assumed in some quarters that NBC's commissioning of David S. Goyer's Constantine (a key figure in JLD ) TV show was evidence that Justice League Dark had been shelved by Warner, but according to del Toro, that is not the case.

"We talked about it at DC and Warner," says the Mexican director, "and I feel confident that the two properties can exist at the same time.

"I think that DC is trying to create a great universe of characters, and expand it and make it clear to the audience that it’s a landscape of characters, and not just one that’s dependent on one or two characters."

Sounds like Warner are still keen on making the project a reality then, although what kind of timeframe we're talking about remains to be seen. Hopefully a hit TV show might just hurry things along a little...
