Hades 2 Thalamus is an ingredient necessary for a mission-critical incantation, but it's very difficult to get as you need to grow it from rare Origin Seeds. Without it, you won't be able to cast the 'Unraveling a Fateful Bond' incantation and therefore won't be able to reach the Surface in Hades 2. Thankfully, Chaos will provide some one-off help, but if you need more Thalamuses, you'll have to gather Origins Seeds on your own, so here's everything you need to know about this chaotic plant in Hades 2.

How to grow Hades 2 Thalamus from Origin Seeds

Thalamus is a plant that can be grown from Origin Seeds when planted in the Crossroads garden. To get a Origin Seeds, you need to enter a Chaos Gate after Moros has shared the Unraveling a Fateful Bond Incantation with you.

A Chaos Gate should appear on your next Underworld run, so enter and speak to Chaos. They will give you an Origin Seed for free which you can take back to the Crossroads and plant in one of the soil plots near Odysseus.

The seed will grow into two Thalamuses after you've completed at least seven encounters, so when you return to the Crossroads after another run, you can harvest the plant to get what you need for the incantation. Assuming you've also got the two Nightshades, Lotuses, and Moss, you can now cast Unraveling a Fateful Bond to survive the Surface and collect more rare seeds, such as Hades 2 Mandrake seeds.

Beyond this incantation, there aren't many uses for Thalamuses aside from a few upgrades, so you'll still need a few more. That obviously means you need more Origin Seeds first which can only be unearthed from digging spots found in Chaos Gates – no more free gifts. Trips into Chaos are rare and digging spots aren't guaranteed to appear either, so that makes Origin Seeds quite difficult to get, but you will get lucky eventually. If you've unlocked Hecuba as one of your Hades 2 Familiar, bring her with you as she increases the odds of digging spots appearing in any encounter.

Once you've cast the Earthly Fortune Incantation, the Wretched Broker will also let you recycle surplus Thalamuses for 99 Kudos each, which you can spend on camp renovations with Dora.
