If you caught any of Microsoft's Starfield showcase during Summer Game Fest this year, you might have seen an exceptionally clean-looking Xbox Wireless Controller get revealed. Complete with a game-accurate piloting control map on the gamepad's face, this white and grey Starfield design will have turned a few heads during the showcase.

Despite already being sold out at the majority of retailers in the US, this Limited Edition Xbox controller has already seen its first discount in the UK via Amazon. Down from £69.99 to just £64.95, it isn't the biggest discount on the planet - but it'll certainly help more folks to buy in the current financial climate.

The Xbox Wireless Controller is a mainstay on our best PC controller list, and it's previously been available in a series of liveries and colours. However, this design is truly out of this world (please pardon the terrible pun), and would make for an excellent gift to anyone that's eagerly anticipating Starfield's launch.

In all honesty, I don't tend to recommend deals if they don't offer at least a £10/$10 discount - but what with this being a limited edition controller that was revealed less than two weeks ago, I'm making an exception here.

Save £5.04 - It may have been revealed less than 15 days ago, but the Limited Edition Starfield Xbox Wireless Controller for the Series X/S and Xbox One is now £5 cheaper at Amazon in the UK. Amazon's US wares have already run out, so we'd act fast to make sure you get yours.

Despite not having back buttons or a wide range of features like many pro controllers do, The standard Xbox Wireless Controller is still up there with the best Xbox Series X controllers you can get. It has that classic Xbox gamepad feel in the hands, and that's honestly fairly hard to beat.

At the time of writing, Amazon doesn't have any stock shortage warnings on its retail page. That said, I'm not sure many people will know about this deal, and certainly won't expect a Limited Edition controller to be 7% cheaper this soon. Either way, we'd act fast if you want to make the most of this offer.

Ever since playing Journey at the age of 15, I’ve been desperate to cover video games for a living. After graduating from Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in Journalism, I contributed to the Scottish Games Network and completed an Editorial Internship over at Expert Reviews. Besides that, I’ve been managing my own YouTube channel and Podcast for the last 7 years. It’s been a long road, but all that experience somehow landed me a dream job covering gaming hardware. I’m a self-confessing PlayStation fanboy, but my experience covering the larger business and developer side of the whole industry has given me a strong knowledge of all platforms. When I’m not testing out every peripheral I can get my hands on, I’m probably either playing tennis or dissecting game design for an upcoming video essay. Now, I better stop myself here before I get talking about my favourite games like HUNT: Showdown, Dishonored, and Towerfall Ascension. Location: UK Remote
