I've handpicked the 18 best early Black Friday deals for gamers: PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PC discounts actually worth it this week
All the biggest early Black Friday deals
2025's Black Friday deals are going to seriously ramp up from next week onwards, but there are already early discounts up for the taking. I've been covering this sale for over six years now, and one thing I've noticed is retailers don't want to be limited to one day for their shiny savings.
I generally see early Black Friday deals knocking all kinds of PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox accessories down their price ladders as early as October, but it's these next two weeks when the heat turns on. Between Best Buy, Walmart, and Amazon I'm seeing retailers dropping some record-low prices already this week - this trick is finding them.
There are a lot of duff offers out there already, and with stores raising prices ready to drop them again during the main event it can be harder than ever to spot a genuine discount. I've been tracking those rates all year round, though, so you'll only find the best and brightest on this page.

Deals were my entire job when I started at our sister site TechRadar, devoting my day to day to finding the biggest discounts around. Now I'm at GamesRadar+ I have another tool in my arsenal; real hands-on experience. I personally specialize in gaming laptops, Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, mice, keyboards, and tablets, but I'm also pulling from the entire GamesRadar+ Hardware team's strengths to only highlight the very best gizmos on this page.

Save $600 - This is a premium configuration of the Asus ROG Strix Scar 18, with an RTX 5090 under the hood and plenty of room to run it with. Considering it's my go-to for a larger 18-inch rig from the current generation, a $600 discount is looking pretty strong right now.
When is Black Friday?
Black Friday officially lands on November 28 this year, but we're well into the savings season now. Retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, and more have all launched their early discounts which means there's already plenty to check out.
Should you wait for official Black Friday deals?
The short answer is; sometimes. If a product is at or near its lowest ever price it's generally worth jumping on early, especially if it's a relatively recent release or doesn't see discounts regularly. In these situations, I generally don't see too many additional savings come Black Friday itself.
Unless you're at that record-low, though, it's always worth waiting and seeing what the end of the month has in store. If something has already been cheaper before, it's likely it will drop again when the heat is really on.

Been holding off on Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake?
The HD-2D remake of Dragon Quest 3 is down to a record-low price at Amazon this week, shaving a massive 42% off the $59.99 MSRP. That means we're down to just $34.99 on this classic reimagined - not bad considering I generally see it at or above $40.
Oscar called it "pixel-perfect" on release this time last year, but if you're new to the genre just note there isn't as much hand-holding here as there are in other JRPGs. Still, this is a heavy discount on one of my favorite franchises of all time - and it's well timed if you're just coming to the end of your Dragon Quest 1 & 2 run (and you want to play in release order that is).
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake | $59.99 $34.99 at Amazon
Walmart and Amazon are trading blows over Borderlands 4 pricing
Just last week Walmart undercut Amazon's first ever discount on Borderlands 4, dropping the $54.99 sale price down to $49.99. Where the former has now upped its rate once again, though, Amazon has shaved a few more bucks off the final cost.
That means you can pick up one of the biggest releases of the year for $47.99, a new record-low price. Not bad considering this was at full $69.99 MSRP just a few weeks ago.

A Black Friday classic
The Razer Basilisk V3 goes on sale every Black Friday, and it just so happens to be the best value gaming mouse I've tested so far. It originally launched at $69.99, but is generally found at between $40 and $50 day to day. That's why I look for this $34.99 sales price every year - you're getting plenty of functionality, a wide, comfortable base, and a slick RGB underglorw effect for a great price.

Or opt for the Victrix Pro BFG
The DualSense Edge is great for those first-party features, but if you're more interested in competitive speed we'd recommend the Victrix Pro BFG instead. This is a third party venture, which means you lose those haptic triggers, but gain a bunch of modular accessories and improve your back button game as well.
PDP's entry is also on sale this week, and it's also taking a dive to a new record-low price. $80 off the $199.99 MSRP takes us all the way down to $119.99 on this gamepad - that's $40 less than Sony's official model.

The DualSense Edge is cheaper than ever
This is a surprise, the DualSense Edge is almost discount-immune, only ever dropping $10 from its listing price over the last two years. That's all changed this week, with a record-low $159.99 sales price popping up at Amazon. That's the largest discount I've seen on Sony's own pro pad, for $40 off all in.
The DualSense Edge is the do-it-all model, with full software integration into the PS5 system and all the first party features of Sony's own controllers. That means you're paying a little more than you would for a Victrix Pro BFG, but making those first party releases all the more enjoyable.
Duncan has his hands wrapped around these controllers all the time, though, and recommends the Victrix for anyone playing more fast-paced, competitive titles. Its modular design and improved back buttons help keep it away from the Edge, but you do lose some of those more immersive features as well.

An early discount on Super Mario Galaxy
The Super Mario Galaxy bundle is seeing an unseasonably early discount on the Nintendo Switch this week, with Best Buy's Black Friday deals dropping it down by just over $8. It's a smaller saving but this is a fan favorite and you're getting plenty of game hours for your cash here to boot.
You don't need us to tell you Super Mario Galaxy is worth grabbing, but we did give it full marks in our review all the way back in 2007. The re-release combines the original with its also-five-star sequel for a full OG Switch cart.

Two weeks to go
We've got just under two weeks until Black Friday proper kicks off, though I would start keeping a closer eye on those prices from the start of next week. Thanksgiving week marks a real shift in the intensity of discounts, but there are still a few discounts floating around that are worth jumping on ahead of time.
