The best early Black Friday deals for gamers: the PS5, Switch, Xbox, and PC sales I'd actually buy this week
Black Friday is coming early at a number of retailers
We've now got three weeks until official Black Friday deals land, but early offers are already dropping some of the lowest prices of the year.
I've been scouring the web for the best early Black Friday deals on everything from PS5 games to Nintendo Switch 2 accessories. Whether you're after a new Xbox controller or a full PC setup, there's already plenty to get those eyeballs on.
Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, Dell, and Newegg have launched their holiday sales early this year and I've been hunting the best deals from all of them. I'm not just pulling any old discount, though. I have a strict criteria for what makes it into my recommendation list.
I've been tracking Black Friday deals for over six years now, so I know when and where the biggest price cuts hit. Alongside the GamesRadar+ Hardware team, I've also been hands-on with the latest and greatest releases. That means I'm only bringing you the gadgets and games that we would actually buy ourselves here.

Deals were my entire job when I started at our sister site TechRadar, devoting my day to day to finding the biggest discounts around. Now I'm at GamesRadar+ I have another tool in my arsenal; real hands-on experience. I personally specialize in gaming laptops, Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, mice, keyboards, and tablets, but I'm also pulling from the entire GamesRadar+ Hardware team's strengths to only highlight the very best gizmos on this page.

When do Black Friday deals officially start?
Black Friday doesn't officially start until Friday November 28 this year, but I often see retailers launching early sales all the way into October. That's where we find ourselves right now, weeks into the early discounts period, but still with plenty of time to watch the sales roll in.
I've been watching these timelines for years now, and I normally see the widest selection of discounts landing from the start of Thanksgiving week, but savings on individual items often hold fast from now through the big day.
Should you wait for official Black Friday deals?
I generally see retailers soft-launching their on-the-day Black Friday deals well ahead of time, rotating through sales in the weeks leading up to the main event. This is my advice every year; if something is at a new (or back to) a record-low price and it's under $300, it's worth jumping on ahead of time. With those kinds of margins, especially on new releases, you're unlikely to see significant extra savings should Black Friday give us even lower prices.
If you're looking at something that costs a little more, it's worth weighing up its price history. If it's regularly on sale and has been hitting these kinds of rates for some time now, especially if it's an older model, it could well drop further over Black Friday. If this is its first major discount and the saving is in the three-figure territory, you've got a little more license to jump early.
Live updates
Donkey Kong Bananza hits its lowest price yet
If you had asked me a few weeks ago whether Donkey Kong Bananza would be one of the first Nintendo Switch 2 deals I wrote about this Black Friday I would have laughed. This is a major first-party Nintendo release for a new generation system, I wouldn't have thought those numbers would budge for anyone.
And yet Woot has the $69.99 physical edition for $61.99 this week. That's a smaller $9 saving, but considering how well Switch games hold their value it's a must-see. Having just finished the smash-platformer, it's a thumbs up from me.

The PlayStation Portal just got a new update and an (open box) price cut
Best Buy has open box PlayStation Portal devices back on the shelves for as little as $139.99. That's the price I recommend most players look out for when considering the remote player.
That's because this isn't a full handheld, it's an accessory - and $200 is a bit steep for a second PS5 screen. The latest update does bring streaming for your entire digital library (not just select games included in PS Plus Premium), but this is generally going to be a companion piece.
I bought mine second hand at about this price, and have never looked back. I'd be a little disappointed if I spent the full $200.

Don't sleep on that cheap gaming mouse
The Razer Basilisk V3 is one of my Black Friday staples. As soon as the one I've been running gives out I'll be right back there grabbing a new one. Still, this affordable rodent has been with me since 2021 and it's still holding on strong.
That $69.99 MSRP hasn't been seen for a long time now, but Amazon's current $35.99 sale price still represents an additional saving over its usual position. This pointer is generally somewhere between $40 and $50 without Black Friday looming over it and it's fantastic value at $35.99.
The larger body and bountiful extra buttons make for a comfortable but still feature-packed experience, if you don't mind a cord sticking out the front. It's been one of my favorite gaming mice for years now, and I don't see it losing its position to any newcomers any time soon.
