The Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky update is here, adding awful weather in the form of Hurricanes and two awful Arc, the Firefly and Comet. While the new map condition and Arc robots will certainly up the stakes of your raids, this free update has added lots more. Most notably, there's a new project for all players to undertake, but you can also check out a new zone on Dam Battlegrounds, a new surgeon-themed Deck, and even facial hair! For more details on the Shrouded Sky update, here's a round-up of everything new you can expect to see when you next hop back into Arc Raiders.
Shrouded Sky details and new content
With the Shrouded Sky update out in the wild, all the content listed as part of the Arc Raiders Escalation Roadmap is now available in the game, which includes the following:
- New Map Condition
- The new Arc Raiders Hurricane map condition will be added, in which strong winds push players around, subject them to dangerous debris, and emphasise stealth. Check out our guide for more info.
- New Arc enemies
- Firefly: A flying drone enemy with a flamethrower, capable of torching Raiders that draw its attention.
- Comet: A large spherical robot that quickly rolls at Raiders it spots and violently explodes.
- Weather Monitor System project
- The Arc Raiders Weather Monitor System Project tasks you with gathering all sorts of resources, materials, and doo-dads to build a weather station and get plenty of rewards along the way.
- New Surgeon Deck
- The third Raider Deck to be added to the game, the Surgeon Deck is, unsurprisingly, themed around medical gear. You can dress your raider in scrubs and all sorts of surgical gear and even give Scrappy a surgeon's hat. It also contains the Full Beard facial hair option.
- Weapon balancing, Feat re-rolls, and bug fixes
- Notably there are balance changes for the Stitcher, Kettle, Venator, Jupiter, and Aphelion Arc Raiders weapons. Check out the patch notes here for all the details what's changed.
- Map Update
- Dam Battlegrounds has a new high-tier area between the Power Generation Complex and Hydroponic Dome Complex called the Controlled Access Zone.
- Expedition Window
- As laid out in our Arc Raiders Expeditions guide, we'll also see a new window opening for players to trigger Expeditions and reset their characters.
- Facial hair customization
- Finally, beards are a thing in Arc Raiders. All players have the Stubble facial hair but other facial hair is locked behind decks and premium cosmetics.
