Crimson Desert Abyss Without Balance quest and Polar Opposites puzzle
We explain how to solve the Abyss Without Balance quest in Crimson Desert and how to solve the Polar Opposites puzzle
Crimson Desert's Abyss Without Balance quest is one of the first times you'll enter the titular Abyss, a heavenly region in the sky that Kliff has to navigate. This area features a mix of puzzles and platforming, with one of the trickiest elements being the Polar Opposites puzzle.
Here, I'll explain how it works, and what you need to do to progress though the Skybridge in Crimson Desert.
How to solve the Polar opposites puzzle in Crimson Desert
In this first section, you need to find your way into the Axiom Archive building by solving the puzzle in what's referred to as the Polar Opposite's sequence. To do that, head to the right-hand side of the door where you'll see a pair of stone dials on the floor.
Article continues belowUse your new Axiom Force ability (your magic hand) to spin the dials. There's an L-shaped line of energy on each one, so you need to spin them until they match the lines shown above and complete the circuit that leads to the door. Once that's done, you'll be able to progress inside the Archive and continue.
Abyss Without Balance and Skybridge puzzle
After speaking to Alustin in the following cutscene, walk through the triangular arch and up to the alignment device, a stone column with a circular piece of glass on it.
Use your Axiom Force to rotate that glass and spin it until it starts to hum and glow. Stop turning it when that happens, and it will move the platforms beyond to form the Skybridge. You must navigate between the platforms to get across.
At this point you should make it to a larger island with the Crimson Desert Abyss Cell and power supply puzzle. That's actually complex enough that we've given it its own guide, but don't worry – it'll all make sense there!
