The first Pokopia Limited Event, More Spores for Hoppip, is live and has you travelling to Dream Islands looking for cotton spores for Hoppip in Pokopia. You can then cash them in for rewards at the Withered Wasteland Pokemon Centre
It's worth noting you need to have rebuilt the Withered Wasteland Pokemon Centre to access this event.
How to access the Pokopia Limited Event "More Spores for Hoppip"
The first Pokopia Limited Event is called 'More Spores for Hoppip' and is live from Monday, March 9, 2026 at 1PM PDT / 4PM EDT / 8PM GMT, but won't actually trigger until 5am on March 10 in your local time zone.
When you wake up on March 10 (or any day until March 24), you'll get a notification that an unknown Pokemon is the talk of the "talk of the town". You'll need to visit the Pokemon Centre, which you'll find is covered in beautiful spring flowers.
You'll find Hoppip is floating nearby, and when you speak to it, it'll automatically get added to your Pokedex.
It's now it'll flag it's missing cotton spores, which is the core goal for this first Pokopia Limited-Time Event.
How to find cotton spores in Pokopia
Pokopia cotton spores are only available on Dream Islands, which means you'll need to find some Pokemon plushies and a Drifloon in order to start gathering.
Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more
Pokemon plush can be found at glowing spots in the ground, and you'll also get one through the request Drifloon gives you when you first attract him to your town.
The plush you use (such as Eevee, Clefairy, or Dragonite) will determine the kind of Dream Island you go to, but all of them will contain cotton spores.
You can only visit one Dream Island per day, but you can revisit that same island as many times as you want (handy when you've maxed out your pocket slots).
We found Cotton Spores all over the Dream Island we visited (via an Pikachu plush), from inside caves to the tops of mountains, and down the sides of cliffs. Just hold down Y to collect what cotton spores you find, just like other resources.
What can you exchange Pokopia cotton spores for?
When you've collected plenty of Pokopia cotton spores for Hoppip, you can visit them in the Withered Wasteland Pokemon Centre. Everything you can exchange for cotton spores will be on the trade spots in front of Hoppip. So far we've found:
- Dandy flower seeds (costs 5 clusters of cotton spores)
- Flower backpack (costs 5 clusters of cotton spores)
- Flower cushion (costs 10 clusters of cotton spores)
- Flower garland (costs 5 clusters of cotton spores)
- Flower table (costs 10 clusters of cotton spores)
- Flowery table setting (costs 10 clusters of cotton spores)
- Hoppip water bottle (costs 5 clusters of cotton spores)
- Juice trio (costs 5 clusters of cotton spores)
- Lunch box (costs 5 clusters of cotton spores)
- Picnic blanket (costs 15 clusters of cotton spores)
You can buy items more than once, so grab everything you want before the event ends on March 24.
Annoyingly the flower backpack is just a decoration and not one you can wear.
