When does Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced come out?
Here's when the AC Black Flag remake releases on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X
The Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced release date is rapidly approaching, with pre-loading for consoles and PC also coming to help you get ready for launch. It's almost hard to believe that one of gaming's worst-kept secrets is finally arriving into port, but it's not the simplest of launches, with Black Flag Resynced having multiple preload and release times to be aware of, depending on what platform you'll be playing on. Here's everything you need to know about the pre-install and release times for Black Flag Resynced.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced release time for PC
Black Flag Resynced has a global simultaneous release for PC platforms of 2PM UTC on July 9. That means you'll be able to start playing this piratical adventure via Steam, the Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect, and cloud gaming platforms (GeForce Now and Blacknut) from the following times depending on your region:
- US Pacific: 7AM PDT on July 9
- US Eastern: 10AM EDT on July 9
- UK: 3PM BST on July 9
- Central Europe: 4PM CEST on July 9
- Eastern Australia: 12AM (midnight) AEST on July 10
- New Zealand: 2AM NZST on July 10
Pre-loading for AC Black Flag Resynced also begins from 2PM UTC on July 7, 48 hours before the full release, so make sure you get it installed early if you want to hop in right away – Steam's requirements say you'll need about 65GB of free space!
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced release time for PS5 and Xbox Series X
As for consoles, Black Flag Resynced has a much simpler release schedule as it launches at midnight local time on July 9 in your region.
Like on PC, you can preload the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X, but pre-installing will become available at different times:
- PS5: Preload from midnight on July 7 in your region (48 hours before launch)
- Xbox Series X: Available to preload now
A regional midnight release schedule for consoles also means the classic New Zealand trick can be used to potentially play the Black Flag remake several hours early, depending where in the world you are – just bear in mind that it's much easier to execute on Xbox compared to PS5!
Xbox Series X players can alter their console's region to New Zealand within the 'Language & location' menu (this is within the 'System' tab of Settings). Assuming you've also pre-ordered and pre-installed the game, you'll be able to start playing as soon as it reaches midnight on July 9 in New Zealand (that's 12PM UTC on July 8) with this trick.
Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more
However, for PS5 users, the only way to benefit from this trick is by purchasing the game through a New Zealand-based account, letting you access the New Zealand version of the PlayStation Store.
While you wait for launch, make sure you brush up on all the changes in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced so that you know what's new and different compared to the original.
