How long to beat Black Flag Resynced?
Here's how long it takes to complete the Black Flag remake depending on how you like to play
How long does it take to beat Black Flag Resynced? That length will vary depending on whether you want to 100% complete the game or just go through the story campaign, but most players will be looking at least 30 hours, and potentially more than double that. Having completed it myself and consulted with others who have, I'll lay out the full time to beat below and how long it'll take you to beat the Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake.
How long is Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced?
From my experience playing Black Flag Resynced, and that of other members of the GamesRadar+ team, you should expect to sink roughly 35+ hours for an light to average playthrough. That's one that takes in a little bit of everything but doesn't get side-tracked too much from the main path. But, obviously, this completion time depends entirely on how much you choose to do from the Black Flag Resynced mission list.
I'd say, roughly, the time it takes to complete Black Flag Resynced averages out like this:
- Critical path: 25-30 hours
- Main quest and some side activities: 30-40 hours
- 100% completion: 50-60 hours
If you're only interested in Edward Kenway's story, as he tries to make pirate life work in the Caribbean, you'll probably spend 25 hours or so clearing the main missions. You might be able to get through the main quest in under 25 hours - if you're particularly dedicated and playing on the easiest difficulty settings - but with important upgrades needed (for the Jackdaw especially) it's difficult to play through the whole thing quickly without dipping into at least some side activities. That said, there are no modern-day sections in this remake, stripping a bit of time off things (you can read about the other changes in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced here).
Alternatively, if you want to see everything Black Flag Resynced has to offer, you're looking at easily spending around 50+ hours playing. With plenty of Forts to destroy, upgrades to unlock, Black Flag Resynced Treasure Maps to dig up, and side quests and contracts to complete, there is a lot to do beyond seeing Edward's story through to the end. And the endgame-level Black Flag Resynced Legendary Ships will require you to have all the Black Flag Resynced Ultimate ship upgrades applied to the Jackdaw.
