The Batman 2 cast looks to be growing again, as Game of Thrones star Charles Dance could be joining the DC movie's line-up.
Dance played Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones, the fearsome Lannister patriarch who, though not appearing in all eight seasons, made a major mark on the show.
According to Deadline, Dance is in talks to join the cast. Nothing is confirmed yet, but Deadline says it's "believed" that he would be playing Harvey Dent's father. Harvey Dent, of course, is the real name of the villain Two-Face. Marvel star Sebastian Stan is set to play Harvey Dent in the movie.
Article continues belowScarlett Johansson is also part of the cast, and Deadline says she'll play Harvey's wife – she was previously speculated to be playing characters including Andrea Beaumont/the Phantasm, Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy, Vicki Vale, and Julie Madison. Harvey's wife, Gilda Dent, has a major role in The Long Halloween comic book storyline.
Christopher Dent is an abusive and alcoholic father in the comics, and a major source of trauma for Harvey that fuels his Two-Face persona.
The rest of The Batman 2 cast includes Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
"I mean, the script is so good.... I think it's kind of crazy. The first one was like a little bit of a different type of Batman movie, and this is like really a different type of Batman movie," Pattinson said recently of the DC sequel. "I think hopefully people will be really pleasantly surprised by it. Yeah, I'm really excited."
