Black Friday 4K projector deals 2024: everything to expect this year

Black Friday 4K projector deals represent some of the best savings on high-end home cinema must-haves of the entire year. Plus, with the technology inside these devices getting cheaper all the time, we're looking forward to even better discounts in 2024's holiday sales.

Last year we saw everything from the LG Cinebeam to XGIMI's popular Horizon Pro taking major price cuts in the Fall event. With some of the best projectors on the market dropping by up to well over $1,000 there was plenty of value on the shelves. We expect this to continue into 2024's Black Friday 4K projector deals, and since the heavy hitters from last year's sale will have had another 12 months on the shelves those savings could be even larger.

Not only that, but we'll have a whole roster of new 4K projectors to contend with in this year's Black Friday projector deals. With BenQ, XGIMI, and LG already in with new devices for 2024, picking up one of the year's biggest releases could be cheaper than ever.

These kinds of offers will sit at the very top of this year's Black Friday projector deals price range. Projectors in the 4K realm are, indeed, some of the most expensive by default. It's no accident that we're seeing the same price differences in projectors as we were once used to in TVs: the higher the resolution the more money you need to spend. And while that's still the case, generally, the tech is getting more affordable. The fact remains that Black Friday 4K projector deals are the best placed to get the most for your money, year in, year out.

We will be seeing some great 4K models from the top table drop to record low prices this year, and offer immense bang for buck value. The likes of Epson, BenQ, ViewSonic, and Optoma will all likely get in on the act with their most premium models having their time in the deals sun.

One range in particular that we're keeping a close eye on, however, is the Premiere range from Samsung. These models caused a wave when they first came out in late 2020 by being able to throw a full 4K picture from an incredibly short distance while maintaining their pedigree and premium quality.

The BenQ X3000i is another tried and tested 4K projector primed for some excellent discounts this year. That $1,999.99 / £2,299 starting price has already given way to sales figures of $1,799 / £1,820 in the past - with the US enjoying such a record low price over Black Friday last year. The timing of these savings give us great hope for some similar (or even slightly better) discounts come November 2024.

We'd also keep an eye on XGIMI's excellent 4K projector range. These are budget friendly (relatively speaking) even at full price but regularly embrace discounts and sales events. For example, the XGIMI Horizon Pro model saw a lowest ever price in last year's sales by about $100, kicking a $1,199 record only set in August down to just $1,099 at Amazon and Best Buy.

Do 4K projectors go on sale for Black Friday?

They absolutely do. And not only can we be really certain in saying that  - we've been doing this for years at this point - but Black Friday 4K projector deals are some of the biggest and best out there when the deals start flooding in properly.

This is because, as the phrase goes, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Meaning that those products and tech items with the highest starting points and largest price tags are often the ones to get the biggest and deepest price cuts - certainly be percentages anyway. And, by extension of that, as 4K projectors are the units in the field that demand the higher price tags by default, these are the ones we often see the most exciting deals on.

Is 4K worth it for a projector?

4K is definitely worth it for those after a high quality picture from their projector. Whether you're gaming or streaming UHD content, you'll find sharper picture, greater detailing, and a crisper overall effect if you opt for a 4K projector.

Why are 4K projectors expensive?

There's no doubt about it, 4K projectors are expensive - even with Black Friday helping them along. You'll still pay the same as you would a big-screen 4K TV at these prices - and a damn good one at that. While those costs have come down from the lofty tens of thousands we used to see (you can now pick up a UHD projector for around $1,000 - $2,000), it's still a relatively young and relatively niche technology. Black Friday TV deals will almost definitely be offering lower prices on mid-range panels compared to mid-range projectors.
