Sony touts PS3's 3D game library - 30 titles this year

In case you were wondering, Sony has done the math and figured out that more than 30 PS3 games will have stereoscopic 3D support by the end of the year, making it far and away the leading 3D game system in terms of content available.

In a PlayStation Blog post conveniently written to correspond to 3DS launch fever, Sony has reminded everyone that the PS3 has a lot more 3D tools in its belt. Titles like Socom 4, Killzone 3, Gran Turismo 5, and Motorstorm Apocalypse are just some of the heavy-hitting games that are, or will be, fully rendered in stereoscopic 3D.

Sony also pointed out, "The PS3’s deep 3D content isn’t limited to games — PlayStation Network gives you access to a wealth of downloadable 3D movies and original content. And, of course, PS3 is the only system that supports 3D Blu-ray movies."

And in case you were wondering how many people actually download PS3 3D content, Sony says that 20% of all Killzone 3 demo downloads were the 3D version, and the recently issued 'Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011: The 3D Experience Exclusive Sneak Peek' was downloaded more than 83,000 times in one week.
