Ezra Miller in talks to join Fantastic Beasts

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is continuing its casting drive apace, with Variety reporting that Ezra Miller has entered talks to take on a supporting role in the Harry Potter spin-off.

Miller is apparently in line to play a character named Kredan, a magician who crosses paths with protagonist Newt Scamander in New York. Should Miller sign on, he will join up with fellow supporting player Katherine Waterson who recently joined the project to play young American witch, Tina.

Eddie Redmayne will play "magizoologist" Scamander in a story set several decades before the events depicted in the main Potter series. J.K. Rowling has penned the script, while director David Yates and producer David Heyman are among the Potter alumni also on board. The film will open in the UK and US on 18 November 2016.
