Black Friday gaming deals in Australia for 2025: save on PS5, Nintendo and more later this month
Black Friday is approaching: here's how to prepare.
Black Friday gaming deals are officially a few weeks away yet in Australia, and we're expecting deals to start landing any day (nay, any minute) now. So bookmark this page and come back: we'll be keeping it updated through all of November and the start of December.
The year has seen the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, multiple Xbox price increases from Microsoft and the continued selling of the PS5 Pro, and Black Friday gaming deals could see reductions across the board for these consoles. And that's not to mention all the fantastic games that've released this year that you might be waiting to try.
I've been tracking Black Friday gaming deals for six years now, and that means watching for PS5 deals, Xbox Series X deals, and Nintendo Switch deals year in, year out. Not only that, but I'm reporting on the hottest offers of every week all year-round, and going hands-on with the latest and greatest accessories. That means I know what should be at the top of your shopping list when Black Friday does roll around, and where to find the biggest offers.
Black Friday gaming deals - FAQ
When will Black Friday gaming deals start in Australia?
The sales event of the year traditionally takes place toward the end of November - to be precise, the final Friday of the month. That means you can expect 2025's Black Friday gaming deals to occur on November 28.
However, they won't be limited to that one day. Black Friday kicks off much earlier than you might expect, and it continues into the following week as well (at which point the savings morph into Cyber Monday gaming deals). That means you should start keeping an eye out from mid-November - while the best discounts are reserved for Black Friday itself, lots of good ones will make an appearance before then.
Where will the best Black Friday gaming deals be?
Almost everyone tries to get in on Black Friday each year, so you can be sure that any retailer you visit will have price cuts of some description. Still, some are better than others. In our experience, these are the stores to prioritize:
Amazon: big variety of deals on consoles, games, toys and more
eBay: Coupons for extra discounts on peripherals and games
Fanatical: Steam keys, bundle game offers and more
Green Man Gaming: Variety of games for PC, Mac and console
HP: Peripherals and gaming laptops direct from HP
JB Hi-Fi: Nintendo, Xbox and PlayStation consoles, games and more
JW Computers: PC parts, peripherals and monitors
Lego: Find a variety of sets including the Pac-Man Arcade
Lenovo: Find monitors, peripherals and more primed for gaming
Mighty Ape: Find collectables, games and more
Mwave: Controllers, gaming laptops, monitors and more
PB Tech: PC parts and accessories to upgrade your setup
Razer: Shop Razer peripherals and laptops straight from the source
Should you wait for Black Friday gaming deals?
Yes, you should definitely hold fire on any purchases until Black Friday gaming deals kick off at the end of November. Like all tech, games get significant price cuts throughout the event and many items hit all-time lows. That includes everything from the latest PS5 titles to Xbox consoles, so there's little benefit to jumping the gun here.
However, on the flip-side of that, you'll need to be quick when the sales roll around. They can sell out quickly, and many form blink-and-you'll-miss-it 'Lightning Deals' on Amazon. In other words, stay alert throughout the week of Black Friday - getting the best reductions will depend on it.

Now, i'm focused on Nintendo Switch, gaming laptops (and the keyboards, headsets and mice that come with them), PS5, and trying to find the perfect projector.
