Live action Modern Warfare fan film honors "once great franchise"

This unofficial tribute, Modern Warfare: Frozen Crossing, was produced by Corridor Digital, a Los Angeles-based VFX company. They say on their YouTube page that they shot the entire thing for a mere $209.42, though that’s a rather disingenuous claim as they clearly have access to some seriously professional props and expensive camera gear. Regardless, the filmmakers have done an astounding job recreating the look and feel of Modern Warfare, and have already shot a sequel that they’re now editing. Let’s hope Activision keeps the lawyers at bay, we’d love to see where they’re going with this!

Oh my god, I can't believe they actually stopped it because of copyright. I didn't think they would be THAT heartless!

People there is still hope! Activision has a license for "Call of Duty" not Modernwarfare. If they did that the Military channel couldn't say stuff like, "Witness the gun that started modernwarfare." Ofcourse i could be completly wrong, but still....

@WhiskeyBit, it's a survival technique which is supposed to keep you hydrated in cold environments. I doubt it would work. recaptcha: hydrated the. How convenient!

I would like to add to my last post that I really hope Activision doesn't put a knife in this because this is pretty cool, and shows some heavy dedication on the filmmakers parts.
  • RebornKusabi - April 8, 2010 10:04 p.m.

This is really cool... too bad about that whole "Activision owning the Call of Duty brand" thing, because I foresee a cease-and-desist popping up really soon >_>
