Darksiders II: Book of the Dead Pages, Stones, Gnomes and collectibles guide

When Death isn’t chuckling at the audacious concept of his own defeat, he’s off using his scythes to slice mortal beings into two or more pieces in Darksiders II. But to absolve his brother, War, he’ll have to do what he does worst - restore life to all of humanity. Given how far out of his comfort zone this task lies, some procrastination - like putting an entire universe-altering quest on hold to track down hundreds of collectibles- is understandable. Well, we’ve already found everything there is to find and created this massive guide to help anyone wanting to do the same. So get to it, Death. War is waiting, and he’s almost done with the second season of Game of Thrones.

How to use our guide

Darksiders II is humungous. If you’re starting from scratch, we suggest using our numbered walkthrough in conjunction with our maps (preferably open in a separate tab/window) to find everything in the most efficient order possible as you play through the game. If you’ve come here to find something specific or don’t know how to reach a particular collectible you see on a map, mosey on over to our appendix page where you’ll find a full list of the game’s collectibles with page numbers next to each, showing exactly where in this massive walkthrough you’d need to navigate.

If you adhere to our numbering, then this guide also serves as a makeshift walkthrough of the entire game and its dungeons, only without battles strategies, puzzle solutions, and other non collectible-related specifics. This also means that if you’re following a map and notice a collectible is out of sequence with the ones around it, you cannot yet reach it and must grab it during the backtracking sections of our walkthrough.

Missed one Stone of Mystics. (Judicator’s Tomb, 4th fl) on the ceiling of the room where you fight the Bone Giant.

This is fixed, thanks for the heads up!

Fantastic guide, only problem I've noticed so far is the picture for the relic at the bottom of page 9 is wrong.
  • GR_SophiaTong - August 19, 2012 2:26 p.m.

Thanks for the tip, it should be updated with the correct image now.

Nice!!!! Thancks, it's really helpfull. But Where is Stone of Resistance #2?
  • GR_SophiaTong - August 19, 2012 8:54 p.m.

Page 9, are you able to find it?
  • DragonusDarque - August 19, 2012 6:11 p.m.

Probably won't get a reply to this (I never do here), but is there any way to fix the Foundry map? Clicking to enlarge says "file not found".
  • GR_SophiaTong - August 19, 2012 8:52 p.m.

    It should be fixed now.
  • DragonusDarque - August 19, 2012 10:32 p.m.

Many thanks. You are the first to respond to a comment I made on GR. I appreciate the quick fix.

Am I missing something for Stone of Resistance #3, or should it be later in the guide? I'm up on the roof of the Breach, but there are bars blocking me from the east side where this stone is at.
  • jeffsore - August 24, 2012 9:45 a.m.

Just figured it out. Just after collecting Soul Arbiter’s Sacred Scroll #5, there is a lantern-statue which must be turned 180 degrees in order to lower the bars. I suggest that the Resistance Stone #3 should be moved to just after Arbiter's Scroll #5.

I found a relic in the Ivory Citadel, and i dont't see it on the map. After you get the 3 waters flowing, the pool of corruption clears and you can finaly get to the central door and open it. When you go though it you arrive in a chamber with 2 big "angel on one knee leaning on a sword" statues to the left and right and 2 Voidwalker surfaces on the wall in front of you. The relic is behind the left statue, near a dead angel on the floor.
  • Matt Hughes - August 26, 2012 6:27 p.m.

Thanks for pointing out these errors, Shinnok. We'll have them fixed ASAP. The relic you speak of in the Ivory Tower is in the walkthrough, but it will be added to the map. The other mistakes will also be fixed.
  • Matt Hughes - August 26, 2012 6:33 p.m.

Scratch that, the image in the walkthrough is incorrect as well! We'll get it sorted :) Thanks again.

Also the Book of the dead page #40 is not on the map.
  • Shinnok789 - August 26, 2012 9:21 a.m.

And the Relic #15(etu-goth) appears 2 times on the map, once where it should be and then again in the middle of the map hanging in the air :) (sorry for posting so much :) )
