Take your first look at Doctor Stranges Sanctum Sanctorum with set picture

Next year's Doctor Strange will be the sixth and final comic book movie of the year, and it's shaping up to be one of the most unique entries in the genre. That's because the introduction of Stephen Strange into the MCU also means the introduction of iconic characters and locations key to the Sorcerer Supreme's mythology.

One such element is the Sanctus Sanctorum, also known as Strange's lair, and a new set photo tweeted by co-president of Marvel Studios, Louis D'Esposito may be indicating its presence in the film. Check it out below...

There are a couple of clues as to why this could indeed be the Sanctus Sanctorum. Firstly, fans will recognise the markings on the door on the left side as the seal of the Vishanti, and the object on the table could very well be the Eye of Agamotto. Both are hallmarks of Strange's lair in the comics, and considering how great Marvel have been in translating those pages to screen, we can probably expect the same level of detail in Doctor Strange. Take a good look because this is most probably the superhero's HQ!

Directed by Scott Derickson and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg and Mads Mikkelsen, Doctor Strange is released in UK cinemas on October 28, 2016 and US theatres on November 4, 2016.
