Four minutes of Titanfall in action in new trailer

Titanfall is another competitive first-person shooter from the Call of Duty veterans at Respawn Entertainment, true, but you have to see it in action to appreciate the difference.

Luckily for you, the video below which debuted at Microsoft's Gamescom 2013 press conference today is now available on its own so you can digest the stomach-droppingly agile combat at your own pace.

That's a full look at one of Titanfall's multiplayer campaign missions; it has a set narrative with recurring characters, but it's also an example of "Attrition Mode" on the "Angel City" map.

If Respawn's unique approach to storytelling in multiplayer wasn't enough to get you excited, the trailer also affords our best look at the Titans in action yet. Check out how the player doesn't just climb into the Titan at about 2:40 in--the mech reaches out and pops its pilot into its own cockpit. Cool beans.

Titanfall is coming exclusively to Xbox One and PC in spring of 2014.
